Chocolate Shops

I got an email from a scheduler basically saying to name the bonus. I was very surprised to see that the shops were for a chocolate maker/store. I guess shoppers are still sticking to their New Year's resolutions!

Nice! I did the two shops in my area in December. Not sure what the rotation is.

I did one. Had the required one piece then gave the balance to the employees at a local coffee shop.

If this is the shop I think it is, it should be bonused. The report is not worth the fee without a bonus IMO.
Godiva is shopped. So is It'Sugar. I've also seen Riverstreet Sweets shopped a few times.

Lindt chocolate and M&M store is also shopped. I love that 85% white bar. It's almost bitter and forces me to eat one square at a time because it's just that strong.
The rotation is ridiculous on Godiva shops.. I still see some in major Canadian cities that haven't been filled!

And Sybil, no one in your life eats chocolate?? :O

Not in my house. If I happen to have a craving for something sweet, I will make some tea and add honey to it.
How sad.

That's OK, to each their own. I am the same way but I try to live a little once in awhile. That or get someone a really easy gift smiling smiley

I'm certain that Sybil is in much better shape than I am lol.

See's is shopped near me too- or at least it was a couple months ago! YUM!

Happily shopping the Pacific Northwest. Shopping since 2013 smiling smiley
I really just don't like candy. I got really sick off of salt water taffy as a child. It wasn't pretty. I also don't do jalapenos and I know many people who love that spicy stuff.

@bgriffin, I do eat pretzels and Baked Lay's on occasion so I am not a health nut.
see's here, but the pay is way way too low for the drive to Boulder for me.

There are Lindt choc stores in the states?
Yes, there are Lindt Chocolate Shops in the states. There are a lot in New England. The pay is low but the reimbursement is $20, and that's a lot of truffles smiling smiley And sometimes they get bonused.
Reimbursement for Godiva is $8. That will get you 3 truffles or less from their case! At least you get one a month to sample if you pass the store after spending your annual $10 minimum.
The last time I did a chicolate shop they were having a 25% off Friends and Family sale. I was able to get nice hostess gifts that usually cost $10 for my reimbursement

Sybil, I bet you were spitting out that pea soup when sugar touched your tongue. You were offered to "name your bonus?" Yea right! Make sure you get that last word in 'cause that's what you are all about!

I like pea soup. Thank you for being so concerned about my health.

I receive "name your bonus" offers quite often from my regular schedulers especially at the end of month. But I can clearly see why you do not have good relationships with schedulers and editors from reading your posts. But I do appreciate your concern about my financial health.
My wife loves it when I surprise her with great chocolate or truffles. It is a perk if you are in that area. Why not take advantage of the opportunity?
I can't eat Godiva, but I take the shop and give the candy to hubby. It's not easy to stay for 20 minutes. The Lindt shop is easier. I have not seen the Rocky Mountain shops and I love their candied apples. I better sign up with more companies.

My favorite is the one with the wonderful English Toffee that is so expensive and absolutely delicious that I eat the bag of it before I make it back to the parking lot...but it's the middle of the night and I can't remember the name of the store. I don't see it often and when I have recently, it's been already snagged...Oh, I Googled it...Gertrude Hawk..love it.

Gertrude Hawk has the best chocolate caramel bars ever. My daughter used to sell them for fund raisers for school. We would buy a bunch but nobody else could touch my caramel ones. smiling smiley
I love Gertrude Hawk dark chocolate mint smidgens. They don't have them year round so I try to stock up.

I recently did a candy shop. The requirements were you must like candy.

I can't stand the stuff. Not a huge fan of anything chocolate either. But, I do keep a toothbrush in the car, so..why not!

I actually had a great time. I bought the candies I needed for a cake order. I made some cash on the shop and I'm going to get almost pure profit on the cake. I'm actually charging the client $2 more than I made for the shop.

I will say it out loud, I'm very thankful I can't go back there for at least 90 days. I came out with a headache from the music and the smells. But it won't stop me from the next rotation. I'll have no problems getting rid of any candy that is leftover from the cake.

I had my misgivings but it definitely turned into a win-win situation.
