Falling asleep while on a mystery shop!

Sometimes you have those moments where you actually ask yourself "Did that really happen?" While in the middle of a mystery shop yesterday, I happened to have fallen asleep while waiting on sales associate to approach me within a dressing room at a high end retailer. The guidelines of this store state that the shopper has to wait a minimum of 5 minutes (though no more than 6 minutes) within the dressing room in order for the associate to check on you. During this time, I happened to have nodded off until a sales associate finally knocked on the door at the time of the fifth minute.

The rest of the shop turned out good, yet I thought that this type of occurrence was rare for me. I've always found the five minute rule for this shop to be interesting as it is, since you are literally counting down the minutes passing by on your watch/phone while doing absolutely nothing. As I wiped the drool off of my shirt upon leaving the dressing room, I had to ask myself the question that I'm asking forum members "Has anything like this ever happen to you?"

Disclaimer: This was my 7th shop of the day amid temperatures above 100 degrees, so I was somewhat fatigued at the time of this shop.

Wow, no. I felt very relaxed during some massage shops, but didn't fall asleep. I would have to be lying down to fall asleep. I have never fallen asleep while sitting upright (except maybe when I was a baby or a toddler, can't remember though). I too am fatigued with the high temperatures. Dreading going out this afternoon for another day of that.
I've fallen asleep on multiple shops before. They've all been overnight hotel stays though. winking smiley

Oh, hahahaha yes I have too. Didn't think about that one. But I definitely was lying down.
One massage shop I did specifically put in the instructions, "DO NOT FALL ASLEEP DURING THE MASSAGE!" Thankfully, as relaxing as they can be, I don't really sleep well when people are touching me. Lol

No, but I have been tempted to recline the car seat when in a parking garage and take a nap.

Poor customer service? Don't get mad; get video.
asilverstein, that's the same shop I did. I have received 100s of massages and have never fallen asleep once. I wouldn't want to fall asleep, as that would ruin the enjoyment.

I slept in my car one time overnight but I was lying down on the seat (several friends were parked next to me also sleeping in their cars). It was during spring break when we were graduating from high school because the Beach Boys and Heart were playing our spring break on the beach where I grew up. I got front row sand in front of the stage!

Sorry for hijacking your thread, Eric.
Oh I've slept in a plethora of vehicles. I participate in 200-mile overnight running relays, so I've spent plenty of time sleeping in vans. Lol

I have fallen asleep during a movie shop before. Not a trailer check, but one of those covert assignments where you are just checking an ad. It usually doesn't take long for my wife to hit me to wake me up.
Not during shops. I save it for while I'm doing reports.

Does "falling asleep" mean spacing out mentally or actually snoring. I should have stayed home today and taken a nap, as they gave me the wrong address, and in 100% weather, a nap would have been welcomed, since I couldn't find my job...ouch!

Live consciously....
I've fallen asleep while doing the actual online reports. That's why I've deceased my workload. Nothing like falling asleep sitting up at the computer. Freaky. I wake up, huh? huh? oh yeah... the report and only one more after this one. Ugh
Maybe I should try killing some of my jobs, too!

I fell asleep during a Sleep Number shop. That bed was so comfortable.
