I saw some old threads about these shops but was wondering if anyone had taken one recently. There's a "send" scenario at a grocery store where I have a shop next week that I was contemplating. The old threads cautioned about long delays on the refunds. Is that still the case? Any feedback is appreciated.

I haven't done a shop since the long delay, but from what I understand, the new guidelines provide instructions on how to get reimbursed sooner.

After doing 3 of these shops the last round, there is no way I would do another for $18. It would take more than that for the hassle, and those shops are a hassle.
AZ, I did one of these shops a year ago. It quickly made my 10-ft pole list.

I had a "bribe" scenario... Manager came over and accused me of money-laundering. He asked me why I needed to send that large amount of money.

I blurted out "a surprise birthday gift", then left quickly feeling like he was about to call the police... That was a tough one.

They are more like $10-13 (I think)..... from one of the msc's that I rarely shop except for the cinnamon rolls. smiling smiley
There are two types out right now. One requires you to actually send money, one requires you to just pretend like you're going to and then leave "so you can get the money"... ahem. The one that you have to fake and leave are okay for about $10-$20 but if you actually have to send money, it can be frustrating getting your refund!

It took a few months for me to get my refund. The scheduler was no help and even became unresponsive. This shop is one of the reasons why I don't do shops where I have to use cash.

I did one of the shops where you actually have to send money. The shop location was a large regional grocery store, so I did not have any concerns about safety or whether they would follow procedures. I had to wait at least 20 but not more than 30 (I think) minutes to go back and ask them to cancel the transaction. The total time for all aspects of the shop was about 50 minutes, and for the bonus I received it was reasonable. With the right bonus and the right location, I would do another.

The ones where you have to attempt to bribe an employee are not for me.

Are you familiar with the "Send List" scenarios? I'd like to try one but do not want to auto schedule without knowing more details.
