You can get out by doing some of the classis which add an absurd amount of points to your profile for what they are...like 75 points.
What does that stand for?

This is isecretshop, which is a platform like Sassie and Prophet. There are a number of companies that use the isecretshop platform, like BMA, Mystery Shoppers Inc., NWLPC, Customer First, and Goodwin among others.

bowlingbabe, on the Home Page, click on "Resources" on the righthand menu. The Resources page will explain the point system and how you can increase your points.

Oh yes, I am working for Goodwin thru that site. I have a whopping 20 points! LOL How would you get in the negative, if I may ask?
You gain points when you successfully complete an assignment. You lose points when you cancel, flake, or complete an assignment that is not accepted. If the OP has negative points, I am guessing she has cancelled and/or failed more assignments than she has successfully completed.
I had personal life drama so now I have to dig myself back out and prove myself again. Kinda bit off more then I could chew so to speak and now I'm paying for it . Thanks for the help!
I wasn't aware the points on the main screen meant anything. I sat and answered polls one day and shot up something like 80 points, so surely they don't base my shopping off of how many polls I can answer? Is there another point system, though? I only get about 1-2 shops for ISS per month in ruralville US.

The points on ISS, as you accumulate them will increase your self-assign capabilities. If you want more shops from the forum than what you can assign yourself, you can still email a scheduler and ask. The scheduler then may choose to grant you the shops - or not. I've got something like 1200 points and can self assign four or five. I rarely find use for that many at a time as their shops are not really in my wheelhouse in my area... Though, I've picked up a few video apartment shops and car dealerships...

You will only get a limited number of points for polls - not enough to really do much aside from keep you out of a hole if you miss a shop or four before accumulating too many points.

Good info. I had been wondering about it, but there are only ever two or three shops in my area... and often a wait period between them so I don't stress too much with the company. I do enjoy the two shops that I get, but I don't go looking too often if I'm busy.

I'd simply monitor it. ISS is not a mystery shopping company - rather a platform. Companies come and go. Who knows, maybe next week a company more active in your area will join. smiling smiley

I was in the negative years back because I did not know what the heck ISS was all about. I signed up for something through the site (not an app at the time) and then would log into the actual MS company's site and my job wouldn't be listed. I thought it was a fluke and never followed up. Fast forward to me getting the app and lo and behold, I was -40 or -60 I think. Oops! I stuck with it and am now at 1458, so luckily my negative days are behind me. Each shop adds (or subtracts!) 20 points. I am not sure what Messy is talking about with 75 points. Maybe some shops give lots more points and I've just never taken on one. But that would explain how those top earners you see on the site have reached their super high numbers. Good luck!!

As someone on the iSS leaderboard, I can confirm that the shops I completed were only worth 20 points.

Earning points is important so that you can self-assign more shops at once, but once you unlock the ability to self-assign 10 shops, there really isn't any benefit to earning additional points that I'm aware of.
See, I was wondering about that part too because I did a shop that paid $35 and I earned 35 points. I was trying to figure out how some folks had so many points because it would be a lot of dollars earned. Ah, well. I do still take a look at their board and emails but it's been consistently the same two companies.

That is so strange - I've never gotten more than 20 points. On a side note, today I was able to self assign 5 shops though my app claims I only get to self assign 4. I'm glad I tried that fifth one because they had some of my favorites today (I got 4 of them!).
