Who still owes you for June?

Slow, but not outrageous:

About Face (due 8/16 - 49 days after completion of job)
Sutter (due 8/15 - 51 days after completion of job)
International Service Check (due 8/27 - 60 days after completion of job)
****(Edited to add-they paid me on the 8/11, so was paid 44 days after completion)****

And then we have:

Intellishop (due 9/1 - *75 days* after completion of job!!!!!)
Service Sleuth (due 9/1 - *78 days* after completion of job!!!!!)

Geez, should I get my gold "certifiction" so I can get even more slow as molasses paying jobs from two msc's on this list who prefer the gold certified? LOL.

Glad to see I am not the only one still foolish enough to do a shop or two for Intellishop, Lisa. But as they pay so slow, I am very very very particular about what I will do for them. They must be scooping up newbie gold "certifictions" in order to get all their shops done. No wonder their prez was here recently making a play for shoppers to get certified. They are among the 3 slowest payers I work for at all.

I won't do anything for them (or the other '60 day or more' payers) that has a large reimbursement since it takes soooo long to get reimbursed. I remember a shop I assigned with them in the beginning of June and asking myself if I really wanted to it before taking it since I knew I wouldn't get paid for it until the end of August.
yea, that is why I will only do the the conceirge shops at hotels. They pay fairly, the same as with the last MSC that had them, and they do not require any P or P/R. They pay so slowly that it is pathetic that they ask for gold.

OK Doug, I see you here, right now. Tell me why again I NEED ore. I am NOT seeing the reasoning for me getting it. The slowest payers want it. Go figure.

Yup, Doug left without answering, the same as the others who posted in the GOLD thread. I wonder WHY. Could it be that gold is not that valuable?

I'm only owed by Intellishop for June. About Face finally paid me for May, albeit a day later than they promised me. Both of these MSCs have dropped to the bottom of my list; they'll have to offer something particularly desirable for me to take one of their shops again. 60+ days for payment is too long, and it makes me question their viability.
With Intellishop and Service Sleuth and aTH there have always been long pay cycles. There is a difference between long pay cycles and not paying when due. I question the advisability of working much with a company with such a long pay cycle--ever. But if they have shops you want, just be aware of the pay cycle.
Reality Check owes me for six June shops, the earliest one being June 8th, so past 60 days. I asked and they said payment will be "middle of August" as the payments from their clients come in. It never makes sense to me that the folks who do the grunt work first, the shoppers, should get paid last.

Yup, none of these firms that owe me money is out of contract accept AF, and we all know what is going on there, and at least they seem to be on track again. Even then, they proposed date, if met, will only be 4 days late. If met. So since AF is working so hard to get back to normal, and telling it like it is, I am supporting that effort a little bit by doing some stay at home easy shops with no purchase and seeing how it goes.

But, every time I do a job for a contractually long payer, like Service Sleuth or Intellishop I think long and hard about it before I do so, and I will only have one job out with them at a time. It is not motivating to get $20 in my PP account 78 days after I did the work. What is shocking to me is that they think this kind of pay schedule is "fine" enough to use the gold certifiction as a carrot to give us more work. LOL.

All of these I do not shop any more. When I started with Intellishop, they paid the following month....that was in 2005.

Due: 08/08/05 08/08/05

PAID ON: 09/12/05
Shop Fee: $9.00
Expenses: $10.00
TOTAL: $19.00
10/10 Great

I deactivated with the slueths after the first year. Contemplated About Face to do cosmetics but did not do it. "Thanks for the reminder.
I just noticed the same thing from Intel...

The past....
Due: 06/13/04
PAID ON: 07/10/04
Shop Fee: $10.00
Expenses: $3.85
10/10 Good job! Thanks for your help!

Currently....
Due: 06/07/10
PAYMENT PENDING

Geez! Remembering the good old days when you got $10 to buy a smoothie and it came within 30 days.
I guess they are using the recession as an excuse. LOL.

I wish some of the other clients would resurface, ;ie that drug store that Maritz used to do.

I heard someone saying that they are laying off and cutting back but I've seen 2 brand new stores being built in my area alone. SMH.

DHS and Service Sleuth.

DHS is not out of contract - they are 45 days pay and that is 8/15 since my shop for them was at the end of the month (6/30). They are my favorite MSP in the world anyway - and I 100% trust them. On the other hand, Service Sleuth - oh, I probably should be seeing that money around October - LOL...
DHS? I am either missing the initials, or they are not one I know. Hmmm..time to google! :-)

suzieboz, Make sure you tell nameless "Goodwin" in the Goodwin thread that you did a shop in June and have not yet been paid. "Nameless" is alleging that they are not only all caught up, but are now **paying early***. Given Amy Melanson's posts here and on Violation, all of which seem sincere, this claim seems laughable at best. Please share your experience in that thread so we know if their claim is BS or not.

Okay...update as of 8/20:

About Face: remains unpaid 4 days past the due date. Wrote Heather and A/P this am. We'll see what happens (but I rather suspect that this will get me paid promptly, as it has other times I have had to contact them.) I did several jobs for them this month based upon to the renewed commitment the president made to getting shoppers paid on time (even though the lengthened the time to 60 days.) Based upon not being paid on time for this one, done in June, I am holding off doing anything else until I see that I DON'T need to contact them and DO get paid on time. (due 49 days now at 53 days)

Sutter: One day off contract...Paid 8/16 (52 days)

Intellishop: Paid 8/16 which is earlier than the 9/1 schedule. Still a VERY slow within contract payer, but paid *earlier than promised.* (OMG, that has got to be a first for me with them! Perhaps they decided to address some of their problems?)

So, who still owes me? Service Sleuth. Still in contract, still like watching paint dry waiting to get paid.

About Face just responded, and how WRONG I was. I am scheduled for payment (for $5!!!!) in "group 8", September 16. If they cannot pay $5 on their own contract, even after these shopper communications stating they are back on track again, then I cannot take my time to shop for them. So I am no longer accepting shops from them until I get paid ON TIME for my August set of shops, and I see that they are paying others ON TIME without having to contact them. I went ahead and took a leap of faith this month, even with the new 60 day payment deadline, but they just broke my trust and the "leaping" is pau (done) for this shopper.

I am not taking any leaps for AF and all the rethoric. I say "show me the money" before I spend anymore of my time in their shops. They still owe me for June, so I just wait and see.
Satisfaction Services still owes me for June

I guess this is a slow pay cycle company?
Their check to you for June should have been mailed the end of July, and should have hit your mailbox the first week of Aug. You should email them.
Goodwin owes for me June. I could have sworn they were 60 days out, but when I rechecked the website after 60 days came and went, the site states 60-90 day payment. It also states not to contact regarding payments before 90 days.

I'm holding off doing any new shops until I'm paid.
No one!!!! Yay. My complaint to AF's President worked and they paid me yesterday. No more shopping for them until they straighten out their payment mess. I will hope to be paid on time for the August stuff, but I am skeptical.
