Beware of the Maritz No Purchase Shops

Those indeed require a purchase. They claim because you are using points, that they are free, but sorry those points are real money.

I'm not aware of any Maritz shops that require a purchase using points. Do they add the points to some kind of rewards account and you use those? Or are they expecting you to have enough points in your rewards account to make the purchase? I have no clue what client you could be talking about unless it's the gas station that as the rewards program with lots of partners. If that's the case only accepting shoppers that have enough points in their rewards account would SERIOUSLY limit their shopper pool. Or am I not understanding what "points" means?

The only restrictions with Maritz I've dealt with are; I must pay without the gas branded credit card. Forgot, need to wear a safety vest & no customers in the photos.

Are you trying to use the branded shop rewards program? I've never seen where that slaps my face & is a big no-no in the guidelines. But considering the guidelines are very specific about using the gas-branded card, it seems logical that the rewards and/or shop may be denied.

I've never been required to use points for a shop and I wouldn't part with mine for a MS shop. You're right, reward points are money. In my family, they are big money!

Forget gas stations... think financial institutions This is a new shop that requires you to have "specific credit cards with adequate reward points to redeem on purchases on their app." The send out an email on it last week saying watch for details. I've called twice. First time they said they had no idea what the shop entailed because they had not seen it yet. Yesterday the guy I talked to said he could only read me what was on the web site someone would have to call me back. It sounded it sounded interesting and I have the right cards and plenty of points but there are Wayyyyyy to many unanswered questions for me to sign up for.

That's a horse of a different color. Like you I would want details before signing up. My points pay back huge. I would have to be reimbursed financially for same amount in cash and more. Not sure I'd sign up in case the shop is rejected & I'm out my points, aka cash. This would be a huge contemplate my belly button shop.

And they aren't reimbursing the required purchase.

I finally got one of these to invoice and they did have a place for reimbursement. Crossing my fingers.

usually not good idea to be guinea pig. martiz team members dont know much except for supervisors. many times shopper knows more about shop details & guidelines than reg team members.
