Question about the Papa Johns pizza shops

For awhile now, I've read the threads here and elsewhere about the challenges with getting these approved.
Yesterday, I pulled up a listing to see about doing one. The MSC is offering a $5 payment, no reimbursement.
So, I'm confused - some shoppers are doing these shops for $5 and paying for the pizza themselves, so this is actually a net loss, not to mention the report time?? When I go online, I can quickly find $5 to $10 discounts for PJ's pizza....so why would I do a shop for one? and the pizza just barely marginal in quality, IMO. Maybe some people like it - so why aren't they just going for the sure thing coupon discount, instead of going for the questional shop $5 discount?

The ones I see show no expense limit but the info says you will be fully reimbursed as long as the pizza ordered meets the shop requirements.

One MSC that did these shops for awhile. Then it's out of business. Another has picked it up. I have performed several of them for the new one. It seems to me that they first came out stating the $5 shopper fee but no reimbursement. They do reimburse.

Do not read so much, look about you and think of what you see there.

I wait tillthey are willing to bonus 15-20 plus reimbursement for pizza cost. To date i have never had one rejected. I used to do 10 to 11 shops for the old MSC but current MSC not so much because their shoppers apparently are willingto do the shops for less comp.
Papa John's in my area is shopped by 2 different MSC's. I only do the shops for one of those MSC's. I have never had a shop refused for any reason. Usually these start out at $0 pay and up to $25 reimbursement. Towards deadline they go as high as $25 bonus and $25 reimbursement in my area. I do several each month.
Mod note: Post removed as it breached the Forum guideline which states, "Do not reveal the clients of mystery shopping companies". Additionally, it is usually an ICA violation to name both the MSC and client.

They reached out to me to do a shop, no pay or mention of a bonus. I'm no longer registered with this company even, no thanks, the pizza is awful. If they had offered pay and a bonus, Maybe would have done it. Yes ,they do reimburse , up to $25.
I find it interesting that they now have a $15 shopper fee for shops that previously had none on the Presto app.
