What TYPE of shops do you benefit most from and why? i.e. Fine dining, Fast Food, Hotels

My benefit for upping my lifestyle are restaurants, groceries, Business Verifications, hotels (now and then) and upscale retail because I love to shop and try on clothes.....

Can you please share your favorite companies to work with for upscale retail ? So far I haven't found any decent company .. 
HIgh end hotels with big fees, gasoline shops, and gaming shops with big fees that either pay for travel or allow me to keep the winnings up to $1199. Probably all of the food shops that I do on the way home from work too. I haven't cooked since November.
Financial shops with big fees or bonuses.
Banks as they pay well and are usually easy. Certain phone call shops that pay decent, are not complicated, and are re-occuring. A Certain Steakhouse that is easy and pays for a good meal. Gas shops when bonused well also worth it as free gas is like cash. One shop that reimburses tolls so I can book other shops in addition and get my tolls reimbursed.
Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Food shops with simple, low narrative reports because they reduce my grocery bill and don't take my time hostage. Bonused bank shops because they pay well.

While the food shops expand my horizons, in a practical sense, my car is the winner. I keep up with (free) oil changes on a regular basis. I hate forking out that money. I've also gotten a free air filter, windshield wiper blades, tires rotated. If only I could get the gas station shops under my belt.
For me it's banks. Especially Spanish language shops. Some car maintenance shops help out. Amusement park shops are great for the family if we head that direction. I get bonused pretty good on random stuff. Just depends on what MSC needs at the moment.
I do a lot of apartments, banks, casinos and video shops. Why? For me, it's about maximizing my income.

I enjoy the grocery shops. The fees themselves are lower than I'd like, but the reimbursement for groceries is great!! One of the MSCs had this "buy online and pickup at store" scenario, and I got to do 2 stores that reimbursed $40.00 (yup, fourty bucks!) for each store!! Now THAT'S a hunk of savings!! I saved near $1200 on groceries in 2017!! More than enough to pay for Christmas gifts! I also like to do the C-store shops that reimburse for a lottery ticket, because the company lets you keep any winnings, and....who knows???? I like the mailing shops because they're easy for the money.
Shops that kill more than one bird with one stone, and are reasonable to complete: meals, hotels (for points), auto maintenance. I am not too interested in straight income unless the comp/time ratio is a good one.... with most of the fees I've observed, there are easier ways to make money, (unless you want to be an employee, yuck lol) - so it's always YMMV in the end, I guess.

Grocery stores (my freezer is very full), gas station and fast food (I mostly do the El Pollo Loco). There was a high end steak house in my area that I loved to shop but I don't see it anymore. Banks are easy but I have been doing them for so many years the bankers recognize me so I don't anymore.
I'm all about the money. While I have done restaurants, I'd rather choose my establishments and get the most for my money. I resent having a mediocre or poor meal as payment.
At this point, it may be fair to say I specialize in independent, assisted and memory care facilities for seniors. I see some lower paying ones and I'm curious if they are expecting the same amount of feedback for the small amounts they are trying to pay. Sometimes I can reach my daily target with one shop, depending on distance. I think I'm probably the perfect age and I enjoy getting into the scenario fully and completing the report. I usually walk out of there with a pie, cheesecake or bread too. Score one for the sweet tooth!
On the other hand, I can give all sorts of advice now on televisions, tablets and cell phones as well as plans. I like the shops that pay my minimum and can be reported easily while mobile. Complete opposites but both types of jobs pay me in money that help me pay my bills.
I also was a huge fan for an oil change and/or car wash shop that covered my expenses for my synthetic oil changes. Now that my new vehicle has that included for three years, it's not as needed (which is good since I haven't seen them in a long time!)

I focus on apartment shops. Living between two major cities, the apartment shops make the drive time worthwhile. I pick up restaurant and retail shops that wouldn’t be feasible otherwise.
I agree. I do a lot of banks and apartment shops. I've thought about Casino shops, but those look like they would take a lot of time. Do they? Or maybe I'm mistaken...
I'm sure some people on some shops recognize me. As long as they don't blow my cover I keep doing them. After all, does it really matter? It might feel a little bit odd.

Another time I did a Golden Arches shop (back when MF did them). I walked in and someone shouted at the top of their lungs, "THE MYSTERY SHOPPER IS HERE!" Gee thanks. Hope, I still get paid. I did get paid.

It really depends on the casino shop specs. I mostly do some that do not involve hotel stays. I have to gamble with two different dealers, walk around the casino and eat a meal. I am permitted to gamble as much as I want, but if I stay the minimum time to do the job right, I am on site just under an hour. I am reimbursed for all my expenses (up to a certain dollar amount). I get paid $30 and get to keep any winnings.
Other casino shops can take two, three, four or more hours. Many involve overnight stays... Each one is different.

I make most of my money from Testing Center Shops (However, the per hour income is not the greatest, as a lot of them you have to be there for 3 or more hours. The ones you need to be in the testing room for 90 minutes do not pay all that well). The shops which I make the most money per hour are probably the Straight Inquiry Only Cell Phone shops and the Teller Shops. However, those are not my favorites. I like Credit Card Interceptor or Representative Shops (average per hour pay) and Dining Shops (where I make the least amount of actually cold hard cash, except bonused Fast Food Shops from Market Force where I make out like a bandit).

These days, my main benefit is from dining shops, because they allow my family and me to enjoy dinners out more often than we could ordinarily afford.
I like bank shops when they're bonused because they're usually a good ROI and postal shops when I have to ship something for my other business.

I'm a young(ish) urbanite and I like going out. Prior to mystery shopping, my husband and I spent at least $100/week dining out (that's about one dinner, or one cheap dinner + 1 happy hour). With mystery shopping, we hardly ever go out to eat on our own dime. Now it's more like $100/month. There's a trade-off of course, that we don't get to go to the trendy, indie places we would normally choose, but it satisfies my itch for going out so that I'm ok with that. We have been able to cut down our entertainment budget a lot and put that money straight into savings.

Others may disagree because the individual pay usually sucks but doing a bunch can really rack up. I love the shops for Intouch Insight that literally just involve taking pictures of documents and basic data entry of credit card agreements. You enter the business, give them a memo authorizing you to do the work, and usually spend less than 10 minutes there. The amount of work is so minimal, you reveal yourself taking off some of the stress of being discreet, and the questionnaire is basically taking pictures and data entry, which you can do in the business.

Retail shops in general don't pay very well ($10-$15 for many of them). If you are looking for *luxury* shops, then consider Albatross (I only do those when they are bonused), International Service Check (I only do those when they are severely bonused because the reports are very long), and Service Evaluation.
