Not according to plan smiling smiley

Sometimes things head south very quickly. I had what should have an easy retail shop today. I walked into the place and a young lady started to help me as I laid out my scenario but just as she was going to show me some products another employee came over said she was needed in the backroom and he would help me. He was not wearing a nametag but was a very knowledgeable about the product. About two minutes later the young lady came storming out of the backroom shouting MF this and MF that. She apparently had just been fired and the guy who was helping me was one of the "big bosses" was came in to "help" with the firing. After we got over her tirade and stomping out of the store I proceeded with the shop. Unfortunately when it was time to get a business card (required) this fellow informed me he didn't have any business cards but wrote his name on the back of the store managers card whom I assume was in the back doing the firing. Boy how to report this one?

Report it as it happened. No customer should need to be exposed to the drama. No employer worth their salt approaches a firing in a way that will not remain quiet and private. And while always an employee will be hurt and angry, a skilled employer will handle a firing such that the MF response will not happen until the employee is well off the worksite. I've had to be there and do that and my best guess is that the employer was working in the accusative rather than guiding the employee to share the employer's disappointment in ongoing shortcomings that "we have discussed before".
Just report the shop as it went down and make sure it is exactly as it was. The people who read this report at the corporate store office may raise questions with the non-store employee (probly district manager) and provide them with some ways of firing somebody so it isn't such a scene. The main thing is to re accurate and report it as your eyes seen it and your ears heard it.
Just as you did sounds good to me.

Rent the movie ( can't remember the name) with George Clooney for more on appropriate reactions to being castrated. Except that he was playing himself GC did deserve the Academy Award !
