Revamped grocery shops

I guess Trend Source is going to revamp their grocery shop starting with next weekend's shops. Hopefully they will be less obnoxious than they are now. We'll probably know Monday.
On a side note, I had an odd occurrence today during my grocery shop. I was at the checkout counter with my stuff on the belt. One of my last items was my required purchase. While I was paying attention to what the cashier and bagger were doing, the lady behind me picked up my required item and put it with her items. No one noticed until after I had finished paying. So I had a dilemma. Have my required item on a different receipt than the rest of my order, or ask the cashier to void the sale and start over (which I think had a good chance of outing me). I chose to have her ring it up separately. Once I got home, I then had to figure out how to get both receipts in the same photo with all of the pertinent information showing. It wasn't easy but I think I have an acceptable photo of the receipts. Of course I also had to explain the whole thing to the MSC in the comments. Just another day in the trenches. lol

Sorry to hear it was a stressful checkout experience but I think you handled it great getting both receipts in 1 photo.. That’s what I would have done too.. I didn’t know Trendsource was revamping their grocery program. I did notice that next weekends shops aren’t listed yet and wondered why.. interesting..
If you look at the information box that pops up on their screen after you log-in, you'll see some information about it. Something about rotating focus departments and other stuff too.

I'll be interested to hear if they are any better. Grocery shops seem like a great opportunity but I haven't done them in a couple of years because they were pretty odious and low paying.
They also said that they will now have an app. I can't imagine typing in all of that narrative on an app though. I'm looking in to getting a key board for my phone so I can be on the road more and be able to type narrative.

What about tethering your mobile phone to a laptop or tablet? I currently wait to get home to do all my reports, because I don't have data on my cell phone. I'm too scared to use the WiFi at public places, because they are hot spots (no pun intended) for hackers. I got my email hacked at Barnes and Noble after using their WiFi for 15-20 minutes. I got home and my password was changed and I was locked out. Also, our mystery shopping accounts usually have our financial info. and even Social Security #. So, logging in might allow someone to still the info.

I have learned of tethering from my uncle, who said you could get data on your phone and tether it to your larger device and use the connection from the phone to "power" the connection on your laptop to the internet. I'm looking into a data plan after years of using only pre-pay.

The "selfish" side of me hopes they're not tooooo easy! smiling smiley Then, maybe everyone will take them. lol. I began to develop a liking for TS' grocery shops after forcing myself to do them, due to their value for me.

The one thing I never liked and would not mind being tossed out are the pre-selected questions. I always felt nervous that I'd be spotted as the shopper, since it's possible other shoppers asked the same question.
Keyboard for the phone! Thanks for that idea. I spend more time backspacing on the phone to fix all the typos than I do typing correct sentences. A keyboard would enable me to do many reports on the phone that I now have to use a computer for.
How do you know where to start looking for a keyboard for your phone? I mean, I can't even look on e-bay or Amazon without knowing what it's called (tech challenged shopper, here).
I have a keyboard/case for my iPad and love it! I take it out all the time with me and can type up reports quickly while on the road... I have never seen a keychain for a phone, that would be great!
If you have a Galaxy then use the adapter that comes with the phone to allow a USB plug to be inserted. Then just plug a key board in! I have done this numerous times.. the only problem is the screen is still small so kind of awkward but not horrible
I love the Trendsource shops, except for the asinine questions they require us to ask.
