Shop due date vs submit date.

I've had several shops where the guidelines say the shop is dur within 24 hours of your shop completion. Yet, the report will list the shop being due the day you finish it. Example, guidelines say shop is due within 24 hours. You do the shop on 8/16/2018. The report says, Start time 8/16/2018, due 8/16/2018. Shouldn't the shop be due on 8/17/2018? If they are giving you 24 hours.

Yes, the report is due within 24 hours, but the shop has to be completed on the due date. Not that it matters. You’ll just lie anyways.

Generally for many companies shops done on the last day of the range are due at midnight that day. So if you do not pick the last day of the range you will have more time to file your report. Or you can ask for an extension before the shop if it is an issue...like a late evening shop.

Many that say within 24 hours will also have additional verbiage related to having to be submitted the same day, before midnight which is the beginning of the next day. Some truly give us a full 24 hours.
