Not to be unkind, but this is the kind of question that most often gets ignored by those who would know best--your competitors in the area. While others may give you all sorts of suggestions, it would be unreasonable to expect your competitors to tell you where they find the work that keeps them going. We all work very hard at developing our 'client list' and our relationships with them. It is just part of doing business as a shopper.

I am assuming that you are just getting started as a shopper and so would suggest to you that you start with the basic companies that have clients nationwide. These are Market Force (the blue portal), Corporate Research International and Bare International. If you find that shops work for you, then join Jobslinger.com and sign up with the companies that have posted jobs there. When you decide that you are ready to take shopping to the next level, there is a list of 200+ companies here in the first post of the first thread of the Mystery Shopping Company Discussion section of the forum. Most of us are signed up with 200+ companies so that we are at least in their database if/when they get a client in our area.

You can google mystery shopper companies. I use the alphabetical listiung on mymommybiz.com I am going through them a-z...so far I am in the C's. I keep an access data base on the companies keeping track of how, when, they pay etc. Any comments that are negative or positive. This way I can keep track of the 200 + companie that I sign up with, and know which ones don't have shops in my area.

You will learn alot and fast! This forum is a huge help! So far I have been plenty busy with 4 or 5 of the 15 companies I shop for, but then I have just gotten started.
