Mystery shopping's mystery questions

This is just for fun. I thought it would be fun to make a list of all our unanswered questions. I'll start with the first two:

1. Why does HS Brands pay so slow?
2. Why do ACL and Merc still pay by check?

Shopping domestic and international locations since 2003.

I personally have no qualms with some of the companies paying by check. That allows me to do a banking shop and get paid for depositing my check.
Why are some MSC absolutely unwilling to bonus until there at deadline and then end of having to pay me or another reliable shopper an outrageous rate, when they could have given me a normal bonus and got it done at the beginning of the period, for a much better rate?

Why can MSCs edit their own guidelines for spelling, grammar, and contradictions.

Shopping Western NY, Northeast and Central PA, and parts of Ohio and West Virginia. Have car will travel anywhere if the monies right.
Why can't I google a brand and find out what MSC they use with just one tap of a key? (Just dreaming)
Same here. Shopping has totally ruined me. I don't even deposit a check without checking the usual suspects to see if I can get paid to deposit it.

Why offer $20 for a shop that will cost more than that in gas to get to the location?
Unless it's a check from Mystery Shoppers, Inc. or another MSC that has something about shopping in their name or somehow referenced on their check. Can't really use one of those checks for a teller shop.

No, never. For those I deposit via the bank's app. I don't think an actual human sees them that way.
A person has to see it for verification.

There are a couple checks from MS companies I use all the time to deposit for teller shops. They don't reference mystery shopping in any way. However, I would not deposit an MS check at a teller shop if the check is from the MS company for the teller shop that I am doing whether the check references mystery shopping or not.
Why are you calling me an offering me a shop for $10 fee plus compensation and I see the same shop on the website at $15 fee plus compensation?
Asking me if I will drive 300 miles for a $17 job and thinking $20 in gas makes it worthwhile.

I burst out laughing at a caller not too long ago when I was offered $7.50 for a shop that I knew to be currently listed at $30. She really sold it, too, like she was offering me one of her kidneys. Over two and a half months I watched it climb from the original $8 up to 30, but no takers. Here she is on my phone offering me $7.50.

Sadly, we didn't come to an arrangement. When I finally managed to collect myself enough to do so, I politely told her I would have to pass today. She asked: "is it because of the money? How about $xx?" Within a minute she made 4 successively higher offers ending at $45. But I have made it my practice to at least occasionally refuse shops when the initial offer is blatantly laughable, disrespectful, or insulting. This was all three.
Why decline my offer and then I see my offer get surpassed on the website? At that juncture, I would think you would un-decline me and accept my offer.
Why have fees gone down by such a large percentage? Did the ms owners' pay go down as well? Hmmmm?

If I have 63 shops within that 300 miles and the total shop with fees is $ 50 each .
I just noticed ath's bank account opening fee has gradually dropped from $100 to $30.
