Purchase and Return Online shops in Austin, Texas

Hello all. I am traveling up to Austin and was seeing what shops were available with the companies for which I have a contractor agreement. Anyway I noticed one company had over 700 shops available around Austin! Some of these shops are described as Apparel E-Commerce Returns. So it looks like you buy on-line. The return says "Return Method Mail In or Third Party Retailer." I don't live in Austin, I live in the Coastal Bend. Normally, I would apply for the shops and let the MSC either not award it to me or tell me I'm not eligible. These are all "self assign" so I may not get that denial or message. My worry is that I will self-assign and then realize that I have to return the items in person. Clearly, I don't want to drive all the way up there to just return an item. But I also don't want to be awarded the shop and then tell the company I can't do it because of the "in person" portion. Has anyone done these shops? If so, is there any way of knowing if you have to do some of it in person? They pay decently well if you don't have to leave your house except to go to a UPS store to return them.

Just be cool folks.

I did one of those purchase and return shops. I live in AL, the place i bought from was in NY. You send back the merchandise the way the client provides. And it's not likely to be in person unless the shop requires that you live in the same area.
Any purchase and return shop that requires an in-person second visit to return the item should be paid at the same price as 2 shops. They usually do not pay that way, and that is why I rarely do P&R shops. An exception would be the Home Depot shops where you can return the items 10 minutes after the purchase. It takes longer than 10 minutes to take the items out to the car, photograph the receipt, and make any necessary notes.
I do not live in Austin (but will be there in a few weeks). I saw what looks just like this shop in my market a few days ago. I was able to look at the information as to what type of return you had to do before applying for the shop.
Austin resident here. There are approximately 60 of these shops just sitting on the board, but I haven't taken any. The instructions are confusing. I assumed the $25 for expenses is the cost of shipping the item back but if that is the case, it could be done from anywhere. One company (ASOS), I don't think has a physical store in Austin. The distance from home mileage has no basis to me, either. Sorry that didn't answer your question though.
