Has anyone done the Totes Isotoner display audit/update at the grocery store? Wondering how is it, worth it? thanks!

I do not know if the OP or anyone else has completed a project involving Seirus gloves, but I will ask this anyway. If you have completed both projects, could you compare/contrast the scope of projects, time for task completion, etc.?

[with apologies to the OP]

The serious one is...interesting. The Dicks and REI stores aren't too bad. You go in, take some pictures and straighten things out. REI you have to do a short inventory to. The one trick came be if the Dick's store is huge or a giant mess that can take some extra time.

They also have the same assignment at some other stores, around me Sun and Ski, but those are kind of a monster as you have to inventory several hundred items. Funny thing is over half of them aren't carried, at least not around me, so it's a lot of hitting zero over and over and over.
In previous years, I completed Seirus gigs in a few locations.[I am not doing any gigs for now but might repeat this project in future. I am not trying to scare anyone away from work that might fit into lucrative routes or work days in general.] At some locations, there were only a few items on one rack. In a few locations, there were messes in more than one area! At one location, I needed to replenish stock from the back room. The other locations had displayed all available merchandise.I often needed to give items to employees due to missing tags and/or cardboard backers. The work at the locations with few and/or tidy units required less time and effort than the other locations.

They are both similar in effort and time. (In my opinion). I have stayed away from the Totes this round because when I went in and checked the stores, the winter display wasn't out and I would be required to do a full set up.
I went to one of the stores that had an open shop to see if the winter display was out yet too. It wasn’t so I did not sign up for the shop. Seems like too much work for $15.
I was offered a fairly large route of these and declined because we were expected to do a full reset. They definitely aren't worth $15.
For now, I am at home and not going to "my" Krogers that sell the Totes sandals. Does this full reset involve swapping the gloves for the Totes Isotoner sandals on the cube display? inquiring minds want to know.

I went to do one yesterday and there was a merchandiser from another company there. She had set up the display the week prior, so at this point it was just reloading slippers.

It indicated in the guidelines that we might happen to see another merchandiser there and indicate that we are considered "support" for this project. It was purely coincidental that we were both there at the same time. We worked together but the other company has weekly visits scheduled at these stores, so these merchandisers sort of "own" their locations.

I am a little unclear why they are contracting with two companies on this (although I've seen that with other projects too) but at the end of the day, I did what was required of me and carried on with my life.

I will say, I wouldn't do these at base pay if it involves a full reset. Those of you that went and checked the store first, I think that was a wise move.
Most likely, at this point, the sandals are gone. The merchandise to reload into the display would either be slippers but may also have gloves. However, if the other company that is handling these has not gone there yet, then you may be signing up for a full reset.

Unfortunately, I signed up for a bunch of these last weekend (Oct 22). At that point they were at $30. I had to do the reset at all but one and it took about 90 minutes for each. A couple locations had the sandals marked down, but were still on the display. Each store was happy to see me because no one had been in the store for a very long time. The gloves are a PITA because there are multiple boxes inside the larger box so there are many boxes to break down and large amounts of plastic to recycle. The sandals are also wrapped in plastic that has to be removed before hanging on the rack.

I was exhausted at the end of the 14 hour day, but I survived and hit double my step goal for the day. ????

I am assuming that some regions do not have a regular rep for the area and that is why this second company is contracted to follow up.
