I’m so annoyed right now

So today I did an audio recorded apartment shop that I had made an appointment for. When I get there, the guy asks if I mind if he has someone else come on the tour. It’s this elderly lady. I don’t know if they double booked or she had just walked in. But in any case I can’t say no. Would totally give me away (like who would be like that), plus I’d look like a jerk. So now she comes along and she won’t shut up asking him questions. Anyway I reached out to the scheduler to see if they will accept this in light of the situation before I write the report (requires a narrative). I mean I would hope they do as it does show the property owner that the leasing professional wasn’t following protocol.

Ugh. I hope you get paid.

You were on time for your appointment, right? I would have acted slightly confused and asked, "Didn't we have an appointment?"

I would have no problem being "like that."

I have also had other customers mess up shops by "helping." All you can do is explain what happened, and it shouldn't be held against you.

Yeah, I do the Lidl PLU shops and I keep expecting the customer behind me to point out the soda under the cart when the cashier fails to notice. Hasn't happened yet to me but it's got to be coming.

I've had this happen to me about three times in about 30-40 shops at a different grocery store.

One of them was my mother who was in line behind me and she knew I was doing a mystery shop!
Before I was a shopper, I would sometimes try to be helpful and point out items that were "forgotten" on the bottom of someone's cart. Not anymore!
I shop an airport and at the news stands they just want you to ask where an item is located. At least once a month an annoyed customer waiting to pay answers before the associate can. I always just write it up and I’ve never had a shop rejected.
A group tour has always been a big no-no with every apartment or new home client I have ever shopped. If something like the OP's situation happens, you just make an excuse, say you will come back another day, and leave and call your scheduler to explain what happened. Yes, this has occcurred to me a couple times, and I ended up getting paid a trip charge plus getting paid full fee when I returned and completed the shop on another day.
I just heard back from the scheduler. She said it was fine, and to just explain what happened. This was an audio recorded shop and had been sitting on the board for a while.

I have had my own husband mess up shops by helping, ie asking questions before the server can offer things. I tell him he's not allowed to speak grinning smiley
I had someone jibber-jabber to me and I was just about to eat my selection and I realized I hadn't taken the required photo yet...
