Kroger shops. Do you use a Kroger shoppers card?

I'm curious about what others do when shopping Krogers. Do you use a Krogers shopper's card and use digital coupons? If so has that outted you as a shopper?

How would that out somebody as a shopper? Of course I have a Kroger card, part of the reason why I do the shops is for the points for fuel, last month I got $1.60 off per gallon for 35 gallons of gasoline. I paid $1.59 a gallon. I am going to save $1.80 per gallon when I fill up my gas cans at the end of this month.

I don't know how or if using a shopper's card would out someone as a shopper. That's why I'm asking the question.
I shop at Krogers at least once a week. Sometimes for a shop but mostly for myself. OF course I use my card. I'm even thinking of using gift cards. Sniffing the milk refrigerator is more of a tip off than using a membership card. There are no Kroger gas stations near my house. I wish I could give Morledzep my rewards points.
I use my shopper card all the time on shops and for personal trips. Also use digital coupons and try to shop on Friday when fuel points are double or triple. I cannot see how this would out me as a shopper. I am in my nearby Krogers several times a week shops or not! There are stations near me. I have 1100 points from last month to help pay for travel to this months shops.

Been doing Kroger's for 2 years and never had a problem. As long as your final total is what they want.

I get why you are asking, I use a Kroger card. I was doing pick up, fuel and an in store on the same day, I wondered if the pick up clerk sees customer's shopping history and if the customer has shopped other Krogers the same day they think you are the mystery shopper.

I doubt that a cashier would go through the trouble of looking at anyone's purchase history- the self check ones unless there is an issue do not see your history- the full shop ones are usually too busy to research what you purchased. I have in the past done 3 on one day same store- not anymore given the new rules and never thought twice about it.
It wouldn't be that odd to use a card. And also all of the instacart and shipt shoppers use their personal Kroger card when doing orders so there's plenty of people out there that have multiple stores on multiple days with multiple transactions on a card.
I "clip" the digital coupons, and they naturally come off my grocery bill as I go along, I don't pay much attention as long as I get all of my fuel points.
Kroger question - have you ever had a pickup order not be processed? If so, what did you do? Today I had a pickup and they were very discombobulated. I guess someone was out, etc. I'm home with the order and the report mostly filled out but they order still shows as waiting to be picked up without a receipt processed.
I just had the same issue yesterday, recommend you email the scheduler. I am still waiting for a receipt from yesterday's pickup.

And yes, of course I use the shopper card to get the discounts. Although If I am just running in to check the markdowns, then I don't bother.

.

I don't leave the store without my food. I will go into service desk and I will talk to a manager and I will call from my vehicle and talk to the person in charge of the pickups. I have never left a Kroger without my order, and I've also had to go in to the service desk to have my receipt corrected, or get my money back for the coupons that they didn't scan after they asked for them. It's your money and it's your food, you are a real customer.
My issue was I had my order but the order hadn’t been closed out. So there was no receipt online. It did get resolved.
IMO going into the store and talking to a manager is likely to get you outed and I don't see them listed under the shop instructions, either. If you are talking about not getting everything ordered , that is a question on the survey.
If your receipt is wrong, you can request a refund for an item you didn't get (or that is rotten) without going in to the store, at least at our Kroger brand. Your final receipt should then be adjusted, so be sure to make a copy of the original receipt to show you ordered 8 different items. You can do that all on online, or can call customer service.

I did chat today and CS eventually told me that the Pickup Department is still working on the backlog of receipts.

Melg,

A customer may drive away without a receipt. No customer is going to drive away without the food that they are actually paying for or have actually already paid for and not get the store manager involved. I shopped this way before I was a shopper and I will continue to shop this way regardless. I didn't become a mystery shopper to suddenly turn into a patsy. I can understand mystery shopping and not bringing attention to yourself in a restaurant. But in a grocery store and especially with a pickup shop you need to check your order and make sure you got everything while you were there, and you need to get any corrections made with the management while you are there. And I do get refunds through the app online when I get home and find out that my avocados are squishy and inedible. I only get to eat about a third of the avocados that actually make it to my house, apparently nobody in this state knows how to pick a ripe avocado, they all seem to think that the squishy year they are the better they are. So I often get home and open up the bag and see three avocados that are completely inedible, smashed together and oozing all over the inside of the plastic bag.

Before you became a mystery shopper did you go into a store and let them charge you the wrong prices and give you the wrong items that cost more than the price that you are prepared to pay? Did you expect to get the coupons did you handed them scanned into your order and reduce the total of your order? Did you walk away when they didn't and just go home merrily after spending more money than you needed to or getting the wrong items? Mystery shoppers are supposed to be a "typical" customer, you are supposed to stand up for yourself, get your orders corrected, get your coupons scanned in on your orders.

I am talking about the PIckup Order, not checking through a register. If the cashier makes a mistake when I am shopping at a register, I bring it to their attention then.

For a pickup order, I would not normally root through everything looking for errors, and would be more likely to notice something was wrong (eg missing) after I get home and started unpacking. In the old days you would call the store or physically bring the bad item in and ask for a refund (eg if you got a bad watermelon). Now I do it online. There is a check box for missing items. If it is really something I needed badly, I would probably make sure before I left but I do so many of these now, that I just get it at the next shop.
No need to out oneself, they will remember you. By the way, there were no missing items on my computer is down situation. Just that the store had a hard time generating a receipt. So far I still haven't been charged the full amount on my credit card.

Kroger here in Ohio owns the market yet Walmart and Meijer are cheaper, especially Meijer, locally owned with decent prices. I can no longer get all my groceries at Kroger due to high prices. For years I have but this last year or so I start to watch the ads and give whoever has the best price for my business, and more and more it is not Kroger
I use my card. Your receipt will be saved inder the putchase history. I use a screenshot of that receipt for the upload onto the report.
There is a valid reason of which I have not read in this thread. The use of a Kroger card has the benefit of receiving monthly coupons geared specifically for what the individual shopper has purchased in the recent past. My envelope always contains 12 coupons and I receive at least one for a freebie I enjoy.

The above is true for SW Ohio.

You do know Kroger fuel points can be used at *some* Shell stations, right?

"You can use your Fuel Points nation-wide at participating redemption locations, so you don’t have to worry about staying local in order to claim your discount. Fuel points can be redeemed at participating Kroger Fuel Centers and selected Shell locations. Use our location tool to find a redemption store near you."

If y'all bank at Wells Fargo, two 5% cash back deals for Kroger (one for groceries, one for fuel) just popped up in "My Wells Fargo Deals" for WF debit/credit cards. (Make sure to activate before use.)

Also, Kroger has "Save $5 off your next Pickup or Delivery order of $50 or more" and "Receive 300 bonus fuel points when you spend $50 or more on Pickup or Delivery" coupons right now.

These popped up in my accounts; they may not be across the board.

If you want to save even more when fueling up, look into the Kroger MasterCard. You get an extra 25 cents off per gallon with every 100 points redeemed. I pay it off each month so there is no interest. I also got a coupon for a one year free Boost membership which earns me double fuel points. I made a reminder for next year to cancel it so Im not charged at renewal. I always use my Kroger card on these shops and digital coupons too.
DrDoggie,

I looked at Wells Fargo, but couldn't find anything for Kroger. But I did sign up for some other discounts and cash back that I might use..

Me too.
One time I did 3 in the same visit I crossed paths in the store with the associate who had brought out my pick up order. After that, i did the fuel, in store and pick up in that order.

Most of them are things I would never find myself using, but every so often, I score an Amazon or Walmart deal. I'm sure it's an algorithm based on what you spend and where. I used my WF card when I bought tickets to two (since postponed) Aerosmith shows, and now I've got deals for every seat/ticket broker known to man.
