If I remember correctly the guidelines used to say a picture of every pump was needed. Now it looks like only one is needed, one for gas and one for diesel. Hoping for confirmation from Valero shoppers.

Never needed a photo of every pump (at least not in the last seven years or so). Yes, you also need one for gas and diesel. BUT ALSO any alternate fuels, or non-ethanol fuels.

I did one not too far from me that I regret doing for the low fee. The gas minimum for a card was $15..sort of eats up any profit, plus there was a surcharge for using a card, plus the gas was well over $5/gal for mid-grade....plus the place had many issues..never again for that one. No wonder it was left there. Some others I'll do because I know they are in good shape.
