Woot! Another funky food recall...

Yes. It was simple. The Italian Market did not have any (shocker) and the Mexican Market had it, but the date codes were not in the range to pull it (too fresh). Easy peasy. I would not do the second market at night alone again though.

I saw it, but when I went back to get it I got a message that read, "No soup for you!"

As per the soup, it may contain an unlisted allergen (I googled it). At least it's not contaminated.

I logged into the app and saw that 3 days ago there is another candy COD job waiting for me to do. I don't have any more candy bars to destroy. Anybody get a COD job in error?
They were having tech issues which caused them to pause the soup recall yesterday and today. When they finished their updates, all of my soup locations reloaded, and a Shipping input from a project I did a year ago also popped up. I wouldn't worry about it at all. On some of the projects I've done they have send me more CODs than I need. The first time it happened, I got nervous and called them. They told me to just ignore it. The extra CODs sat there for a couple of years, until I had an unrelated problem and had to reload the app.
Certificate of destruction.

I did my one and only soup location today....84 miles round trip. If it hadn't been so lucrative because of the drive time, I'd have told them no since they still haven't paid me for the chocolate.

I'm about to.

Just snagged 3 in my area after popping into the thread. All are local, so pay by location for me.

I'll do my first one today on my way to get my car cleaned by a duck.

I did two of the soup locations and neither had it but was disappointed the app functioned so poorly.

Not my experience at all, after many dozens of death chip stops and a handful of chocolate and soup stops.

I've found the app to be super stable and way solid when it comes to keeping info when a connection is lost. I love how I can access all my previous shops to use the receipt pics when filing expenses. SASSIE could learn much from the app developer.

Did my three today.

One store had 5 units.

Picked up a remote one for tomorrow that will log as a 100+ mile round trip, so I went with the hourly pay for the first time.

Planning on using my Exact Time app to track all the admin steps.

Would welcome tips from others as to how they track everything.

I ended up picking two new soup locations that popped up on Thursday. They were both less than a mile from the house, but in opposite directions. Neither location had any soup. I had both jobs done and back home in less than an hour. At the first location, I had to wait 20 minutes just to speak with an employee, who turned out to be the keyholder. She was the only person working, and their card machine went out. Her line backed up in a hurry. Once another employee returned from break, I was able to proceed with the keyholder pretty quick.

@ShopperGirly - My second location was a DG. The manager there was flirty, kept calling me baby and told me she liked my stubble. If I disappear from these boards, I've gone to go work at DG. smiling smiley

Managers from one extreme to the other at DG, based on @ShopperGirly's encounter with a nasty manager and @ServiceAward who got a flirty one. I know this is a soup project but it seems like Shopper got sour grapes instead.
My DG manager was still doing his zombie impersonation from last Halloween.

Store was way less nasty than I remember when I called on them for Foster Grant.

They were clearly having a problem with the app on the 25th and 26th as they had to take the system down during prime working hours for maintenance. The app usually works well, although on a couple of very large projects, where I have had dozens and dozens of locations, I have had the app freeze. I also wish the app had a "zoom" feature so you could make the print larger. I occasionally have to put on a pair of reading glasses for their app, and I don't wear glasses for normal reading.

I got mine Friday.

This round, 50% of my managers spoke only Spanish. 75% of the employees spoke only Spanish. No big deal for me, as I speak Spanish, but it could have easily been an issue in my area.
I had one soup day where very little English was spoken by any manager I encountered. It was either Armenian, Spanish or Farsi.
Looks like there's another version of the chocolate recall, but I'm going to pass.

Only one location in my area, and you have to pick up product from a consumer, box it up in a fresh box and ship it back to the company.

Single locations, unless they are remote, are not worth doing given the current payment structures offered, especially if packing and shipping are involved.

I don't see the chocolate recall here. I still see the soup listed, but there are no available locations. The company still e-mails me every day telling me there are locations near me, so I don't know why they are doing that.

I did two more this past weekend and had no issues, so whatever the glitch was the first time around was corrected.

Same here! I quite checking when I get their emails now. I just check on my own periodically.
They are releasing a new version of the iPhone app Sunday night. If you are an iphone user, they asked that you not be in the middle of any projects at that time. (This is just a heads up for those that didn't read the email they sent out.)
