For several years I used to do a certain E/M shop. It was one the monthly shops and I did it as the rotation allowed. I could always count on the site to have a myriad of violations - graffiti, drug pipes, no uniforms or nametags, outdated signage, pump ears - IOW, they never paid attention to fixing any of their violations.
Besides that, they were just a bunch of rude folks.
Whatever.
Then, I noticed their site was no longer being shopped.
As it happened, I had a shop to do a few streets away from their gas station. Imagine my surprise when i saw that it had been rebranded as a BP!
I thought, well maybe it was sold and the new owners decided to switch to BP. For fun, I stopped in. Same employee(s), same compliance problems. Same rudeness.
So, I thought, Good Luck! BP is difficult for shoppers as the OP has stated. And I remember once talking to a former BP manager. She said BP compliance is just as hard on the station.
BTW, a few years ago, after too many times having BPs sent back for additional things, plus the pay not really being commensurate with the amount of work they wanted, I made the decision to just eliminate them from my list of shops.
Apparently, they are still up to their tricks.
Edited to add: I've always noted that the BP shops are always the last to be snapped up.
Hmm wonder why.
