99 Cent Only stores to close all locations

Ah, the old-timers will remember this shop. It was easy and the report formatting was brutal. I don't think that it has been shopped since around 2019-2020. Liquidation starts tomorrow.

oh no... I need someone to go get me a case of canned salmon.. I just used my last can from before I left CA.
Ah, yes. I remember those shops.

I used to shop there on my own time/dime about once a month. Haven't shopped there in a LONG time. Won't miss it.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
Ark,

It's the best canned fish on earth. drain the liquid, add an egg and bread crumbs or crushed crackers, salt, pepper, garlic, and some grated onions, mix it up, make patties, and fry it in a skillet. When my kids were little we made salmon patties, and french fries or fried broccoli sticks. It was a $2 dinner that filled up all 4 of us.
Back before it became Boushy...they used to sell the personal watermelons for $0.99. I saw one the other day for $5.99 at the fresh market.
Oh how I will miss them. The one a few blocks from me burned down a few years ago and I tried to get them to build another in my neighborhood but they did not. The next closest one closed down a few months ago supposedly due to high thefts. The next closest one after that one I was exiting while a person stealing a whole hand basket of items exited beside me. That was a bit scary as security confronted him but allowed him to leave finally and then I escaped out the door.
