Would having a Samsung S24 Ultra with AI help with mystery shopping?

I have an S20, thinking of getting the S24 Ultra with AI. Would the AI help with mystery shopping? Would any of the other features help? Since the AI has translations, could I do shops requiring other languages? Could I get away with it?

I just upgraded from an S21 to an S24 (not the Ultra). The better camera on the S24 Ultra compared to the S24 or the S21 would not really benefit you. My S24 does real-time translations. It listens and then translates. No one is going to think that you are speaking Spanish (for instance), and you have to speak in English in order for the phone to translate and speak Spanish. You could probably also type, but that is even slower. The real-time (well, almost real-time) translation is good if you are a tourist in a foreign country or if you go into a bodega and want to order something and they only speak Spanish and you only speak English. You are not in any way going to be able to pretend that you are actually the one speaking Spanish.

I just checked the differences in the specs. Except for the AI and 200 mp camera, not much of a difference. Would the AI help with doing price checks? The AI could find prices for different stores.

You need to visit the stores to collect the prices and (generally) take photos there. AI will not help you.

I pay a (much) lower amount per month and purchase my phone outright.

My MS phone cost $15 refurbished and my Tracfone account costs less than $20 a month. I've never had any kind of problem doing anything that MSing calls for. It has more than enough camera resolution to take clear receipt photos. I'm gonna keep it until it breaks. If you need more, buy more, but you don't likely need it for shopping.

Not only that but we also get to write them off as business expenses for deductable, unlike some John Doe here lol

I pay my taxes....I pay as little as possible. I use the law like the rich.

I bought the 23 Ultra when it came out last year. I needed an excellent camera, and it is probably the best one I've used. I would not worry with AI. You don't need a phone with it. There are apps and programs out there you can install and have access to AI that way. But I don't think AI would do you any good in terms of mystery shopping.

I have a Samsung s23 but I use my old S9 for mystery shops. So is it necessary? Nope. I keep all the pics on the old phone and separate from my new one. I don't have service on the other phone either, I just use my hot spot to give it WiFi. Works great. I actually learned this tip from someone on a mystery shop!!

Here's where some of the new Samsung AI features could help a Mystery Shopper:

1. Note Taking - If you take notes on your phone, the phone will edit them. Might be useful for writing narratives later as you could cut and paste in to the narrative responses the AI-assisted notes and then simply edit the notes in to narrative.

2. Word Suggestions - if you are filling out narrative on the phone, words and grammar will be suggested. Keep in mind, the app where you are writing will have to support this. My guess is the MSC platform apps aren't there yet.

3. Better photo editing and previewing. Considering we are all using smartphone cameras today without issue, this seems like a negligible improvement unless you are upgrading from a really old device.
