kroger fuel points

One of the locations I visited today did not award me any fuel points even though it shows the last 4 digits of my membership number on my receipt. But the receipt doesn't show the fuel points earned today or the balances like most Kroger receipts do. I checked my Kroger App, and it showed that I earned 0 points (on 4x points friday) at the their store. Customer service added the points to my card, but the store did not. Watch your receipt folks, keep an eye on your point balance.

I went back to the last round of shops and the same store didn't post any points when I visited on a 4x Friday when I should have gotten 124 points for that location. so my 800 and something points for last month should also be over 1000. Because I shopped at that location twice last round, a pick up shop and an in store. And I don't have the points for either visit.

Well that's a bit of a coincidence, I had one shop yesterday and one today where it showed 0 Fuel Points earned today. But after looking at my receipts, it still added the points, so my balance is correct. I was concerned more yesterday when it was 5X points with my Boost membership. It sounds like in your instance, it's a store issue. You might ask someone in customer service at that store the next time you visit, and bring your receipts.
yep hamp, I have another shop there next weekend, or maybe Friday? I'll check my calendar.. But if I don't get any points showing on my receipt, I'll double check the balance before I leave the store and go to customer service. The store I went to today managed to get my points into my account.
I've never paid attention to fuel points. I've never redeemed either. Should probably look into this...
With the number of in-store and pickup shops I do, plus my regular shopping, the fuel points add up pretty fast. I can usually save $20 - $30 a month in fuel costs using my points. Not a lot, but these days, every little bit helps.
In March I had 1400 points, at the end of April I got 35 gallons of gasoline for $1.89 per gallon. At the end of March, with my February points I got my 35 gallons of gas for $1.60 per gallon. Groceries isn't the only perk..

The new rules limiting pick up shops isn't doing much for my points score though.
Between this snafu with this store, and the new limits, I only have 800 points in April. I'm more than a little disappointed.

Definitely worth it. I'm pissed I forgot to redeem my March points last month.

Have synthesizers, will travel...
Between my non mystery shop groceries and the shops I average 750 to 1000 points per month. I was disappointed last week as the usual two times points for weekends did not apply- they gave 4 X on Friday so that I could only get the double points on the other days. I sometimes let my son use the points- he saved over $17 filling his van and then I used the remaining to save $5.00. As his van holds more gas I would rather help him out than use the points for my car which I do not drive as much.
I usually get at least 30 cents off every month if I have a full complement of shops. Sometimes I get close to 40 cents. But I don't make an effort to shop the 4X Fridays. Maybe I should because I was only off by 12 points for this month....

I had a different receipt issue a few days ago where I was overcharged for two items that were on sale . I went on line and there is a link to ask for a credit for the overcharge, you just need the receipt number and then indicate the amount of the overcharge to the nearest $. There will be an "order coupon" on the next pickup or I think you then tell the cashier if it doesn't come off of your in store purchase. Since the overcharge put me over the maximum $30 reimbursement, I didn't feel guilty.

Just another thing to keep an eye on!

If you call the first week after your points expired, Kroger will reinstate them up to 3 times a year. I did this the first week of April for points that expired the end of March. It worked.
I just logged in and i only see points for my pick up shops. Nothing for all my in store... I enter my phone number (because I want the sale prices!)
Is this how it's supposed to work?
The bottom of your receipt should show fuel points earned. In California no points on milk. Could your phone number not be linked to your account?

And no points earned on some other things like fuel or gift cards.

I have been, due to crowds, avoiding Fri., Sat. & Sun. If I have understood this thread, Fri. is 4X and both Sat. & Sun. are double. Is that correct for fuel points?
I never thought to make sure the fuel points actually got added. Im going to start double checking that. I also have the Kroger MasterCard. Each time I redeem 100 points, I get an additional 25 cents off per gallon. I pay the bill in full each month so I am not charged any interest.
Bob, the 4X fuel points on Fridays are special promotions that are available from time to time, not on a continuous basis. On my account, I see the 4X on Friday promotion ends on May 10th. I'm not sure about the 2X on weekends, I don't see that promo.

I signed up for the Kroger MasterCard a couple of years ago when they were running the 55 cents off per gallon for the first year. That was great while it lasted, but the ongoing 25 cents off is good too when combined with our regular fuel points. Also, that card gives you 5% back if you use Kroger Pay. Every little bit helps.
I live in Indiana, and we don't have a Kroger fuel near me. The closest ones are IL, and while I'm ALWAYS there the gas prices at my local Sam's Club are about $.50‐.75 per gallon cheaper than IL Kroger fuel stations. So these reward points really don't do me any good.
Thank you Hamp. As Mon. through Thurs. is much easier for me, I will stick with Sam's.
umm, viv, you should be getting points for ALL purchases. not just pick up shops.

On the receipt it should show the points you earned at that visit. If it doesn't check your account online. Go to the fuel points rewards, and under the total for each month there is a link to go to your point totals for your transactions.

Hamp, EVERY Friday is 4x fuel points, but you have to clip the coupon each week. It expires each Friday and the new coupon for next week is loaded on Monday and you have claim it.

Last year, they did a bunch of different extra point promos, trying to find which worked best. Several weeks ago they announced that 4x Friday is continuing indefinitely.

Bob inquires--Where is the coupon that needs to be clipped, where is it loaded on Monday and what is the method of claiming?

Log into your Kroger account and go to savings... it will be there.

The coupons are in the electronic coupons on the Kroger.com website and app. Go to "All Savings" then go to "All Coupons" and you should get all of the electronic coupons that are available on your Kroger card account. You simply click on the button that says "clip."

Thanks... I probably only spend $400 tops per month in a Kroger branded store. We buy all our meat/ seafood/ deli meat at Whole Foods. So $.40/ gallon off is still going to be more than my local Sam's Club gas price. If you want my fuel points message me I'll give you my phone number to redeem.
My children use my fuel points. They just have to punch in my phone number at the gas pump.
I go with my son to the Kroger gas station and enter my card number. He then puts in his credit card to get the gas. I save him quite a lot of money. He takes me shopping when he is going so the least I can do it give him the points I earn. His wife shops mostly at Aldi as prices ae less so they do not get a lot points.
In my area, Kroger fuel is 10 to 20 cents more per gallon than several other stations. Since they don't let you carry over points that are less than 100, my 279 points last month let me have 20 cents off per gallon. Not a good deal for me but probably not bad for someone who spends more than I.
There are two Kroger fuel stations near me. With the cents off that I earn (has been averaging .30) they are by far the least expensive option in the area (otherwise it's Walmart but they have a chaotic circulation pattern). I don't have a Costco card which is also pretty decent. Sometimes I even combine the Fuel shop with using my points, when there is an end of month date.
I do around 18-20 Krogers each month and make sure that I use my Kroger credit card at each of them. I've got enough annual expenditures to quality for the extra 25 cents off a gallon when I use at least 100 points at the fuel pump. So, you can take 35 cents a gallon discount and only use 10 cents off your balance. I also make sure that if I know I need to do some heavy shopping somewhere soon that involves a store that Kroger sells gift cards for, I try to buy them on 4X points sales periods. I you know you're going to spend $200 at Lowes on Saturday, why not earn 800 fuel points?!
Finally, our local Kroger fuel stations have no qualms about two vehicles filling up side by side on the same purchase. It's a comedy on the last day of the month when everybody and their dog are burning off points. I just try to be considerate and do it during off hours, so we're not tying up a pump lane for anybody. So, we're usually able to fill both cars plus a two and a half gallon gas can at least once a month for $1.25 off a gallon. (Max 35 gallons). We often save $30 or more on the purchase!
