Are the Fast Food survey shops coming back?

Does anyone know? Usually these appear during the summer and I was looking forward to it since sometimes they have locations that aren't typically shopped.

How about saying what franchise you are talking about since you didn't mention the MSC. Or tell us the MSC you are talking about since you didn't mention the franchise?
It's the one that comes every year where you time how long it takes to go through the drive thru along with each stop, etc. I honestly don't remember the MSC and it's for various restaurants but I've read on the forums that it's for a third party drive thru survey.
Again nobody can help you until you at least let us know one or more of the drive through fast food chains you are talking about.
Annual QSR study? I haven't seen it this year. I did know that the fee is the same or close to what it has been for years.
Mc Donalds Happy Meal Hamburger is $5.59 + 10.75% tax, so $6.19 after tax. I would doubt that these are still worth it in CA. El Pollo Loco Kids Meal is $6.99 + 10.75% tax, so $7.74 after tax. If you want an adult sized order it is going to be way over $10 and up to $20 in many cases. (Fast food workers make $20/hour in CA.)
Most are coming back with little to no fee. Some pay less than the cost of the meal.

I think it's the QSR study which encompasses multiple brands.

Correct.
I saw some that popped up today on Presto. I haven't done them since there were dollar menus and water was acceptable as a drink. It's nice that they allow a reimbursement now. Back then they didn't. If they still post them as they did, they would be released in waves, not all at once. The ones I saw were snack time frame only.

i saw them on presto just now. looks like $14 reimbursement and $8 pay. first thing i noticed was 191 questions. I'm like WTF?!?! I closed it out when I saw that. I would rather do a five guys at BASE pay than to answer 191 questions. I've never done these and won't start now. They also seem quite restrictive on times. I would rather do a Panda Express where you can go all day.

I guess you might be able to justify doing one if you can get a Sonic or Panda and report the results to both from the 1 visit, but i'm not looking to put that much effort in.
There are not 191 questions. It is actually a pretty simple shop.

@Datagirl

It might be an easy shop...but this is what is says when opening Presto in the first section of "Want this Shop?"

Maximum questions: 191
I understand and will comply with all of the instructions and requirements above.

I understand that I must use an Android or iPhone to verify that I am at the shop location.

If they are advertising there are that many questions, I really was not interested in reading further.
I looked at one of the surveys, and 191 questions or not, it is LONG and way more complicated compared to any other QSR shops I've seen recently.

PE wont work. They don't like hydration.
I think I did a couple of Chick-fil-A ones a couple of years ago. I remember it being lengthy, but the photos were a little hard to get. A lot of traffic in the lines, multiple lanes, and associates on tablets.

I did one today and could not get the menu board in a photo without getting an employee in it. She also shooed me along. I stopped in front of the menuboard after the face to face ordering and the employee came over right away was like "you already ordered? Pull forward", I said yes, I just want to see the menu. She literally stood in front of the board, not covering it entirely, but there was no way I was getting a surreptitious photo. I took a photo of the back of it from the parking lot...we'll see if I get reimbursed or not. CFA is not like most other places in that there are multiple employees in the DT lane, and today there were literally 6 people out there, there was no way I was getting a photo without being identified.

Yes, this brings back some bad memories. I remember there was a sequence to the photos in that it sort of tells a story in the report, and timing to the second was important. I took some of the photos from a distance after the fact with their backs turned to me and zoomed in.

This also brings back memories of Jack in the Box, where it was muscle memory with the sequencing of photos and timing.
I have done these in the past and find the them more trouble than they are worth for the advertised pay.
