Cricket Wireless Compliance Reviews

Hello and good morning.

I did one of these a few months back. Wasn't terrible but not exactly what I like doing. One of the two staffers said that her english wasn't that "good". It got me to thinking... what would the situation be if you run into a language barrier and they don't understand you? I know it's probably a long shot that it would happen but it could. There is one in Presidio, TX about 1/2 mile from the border. It would be a real bummer to drive all the way out there to not get paid for the shop because you couldn't communicate with the employee.

Some locations said they had to be conducted in Spanish and had higher fees. I saw several of them in the Austin area.

I did one a few years ago. I called ahead of time and made the appointment. However, when I arrived there was only one person working, and she literally spoke no English. I said out loud, "You got to be kidding." She wasn't. Using my muy mal (very bad) Spanish, and Google Translate, I introduced myself and explained why I was there. The young lady could not have been nicer. She suggested we could use Google translate to conduct the compliance review. Urrrrr ummm no. That was not gonna work. Anyway, I took a couple of pics, and I think I indicated on the review that every question was missed, or there was some way to explain what happened. I do remember explaining that there was no one there who spoke English. The shop was accepted.

Edit.... I don't know which is declining more.... my grammar or proofreading...

This post is for any shopper considering these assignments. Over a 3+ yr. period, I have completed 72 compliance visits, with the pay ranging from $20 to $40. As another poster mentioned, I would welcome this work on an around the yr. basis.

A final comment: I rate this work as "3 thumbs up."
If the rep knows anyone at another store maybe they could sit in on a phone conversation to help?

Ay Caramba!
Me and my chummy chum chum often talk (well, I whine like a moron and she probably rolls her eyes) about how I am hesitant to do shops where they are revealed because I’m afraid the employee will go all Tony Montana on me if he thinks I’m going to cost him his job or something.

This thread helped. If Presidio, TX gets back to $200 like it was a few cycles ago, I may cast my line over in that lake. No poaching!
My only comment is they are not a good choice if you are on a time-sensitive schedule.

I booked a set of 5 as part of a 12-day roadtrip with almost 3900 miles I needed to cover.

Stopped at my first one, and I was third in line with only 1 employee working, and not at an urgent pace at that.

No way could I afford to hang around for however long it would take me get the job done, given what else was on my calendar for the day.

I promptly notified Joe S and cancelled all of them, and he did so without issue.

Knowing what I know now, I'll gladly book these if they are local or I have more flexibility in my travel schedule.

Have synthesizers, will travel...

These shops are meant to put the employees at ease. They can literally read the answers off the sheet they have in a binder! I had one shop where the employee didn't have the sheet, so they called another store and the other store employee gave the information over the phone, to which the employee of the store I was auditing just parroted the answer to me! Pass 100%!! The whole point of the Q&A part of the audit, I believe, it just to make sure that the employee knows where to find the information if it's ever needed. Once the employee knows you are there to put them at ease and tell them they can just read the info off their own sheet, there should be no reason for them to get upset. I enjoy these too, and wish they'd come up more often.

You don't whine -lolololol- but you know I'm always going to give you a swift but nurturing kick in the pants when I think you need to take the wheel and drive.

SA comments--Guidelines do state that you can leave after 20 minutes..............

Bob responds--SA is, of course, correct. The two for which I waited were both a distance from me, each paid $35 and were in conjunction with non-shopping business. As both the MSC and scheduler have been very fair with me, and I had the time, I elected to remain on-site.

From anywhere to Presdio is not worth $200, lol.
All you have to do is have the employee write that they are too busy to do compliance review. You have them write this on the compliance review letter. You have them fill out all the information: store number, address, date, etc., and then they sign it and write they were too busy, or in training, etc., somewhere on the letter. I usually will wait for about 20 minutes and if they are swapped I have them fill out the letter. Also, if you go to the location and they are not there you take a picture of the closed sign and the front of the building. I have even taken a picture inside of the location through a window when there was no be back sign. You put your pictures in the slots for the iphones and you upload the letter to the normal spot. You just keep copying pasting what happened in each part of the survey and then submit it. I have never had an issue with them not paying me the full amount.
