Pizza now at Alta360 truck stops

Now, instead of just buying something out of the cooler or off the center shelves, you have to buy a slice of pizza and photograph it in your car. It appears to be select locations only so far.

I guess, considering that some of these pay pretty well considering how crazy-easy they have been, I shouldn't complain about some extra work being thrown in. I do know my price point just went up, though. As Joe Walsh said, "I can't complain but sometimes I still do."

Oh yeah, I don't know what the pizza slice will cost, but the reimbursement has always been a scant $2. If the pizza is more than that, they'll need to pony up.

The local convenience store chain near me actually has some decent pizza. Not that I'd go there to get a pie, NY has too many better mom & pop places. But for a reimbured slice I'd be in.
I frequently go over the reimbursement for items I may need anyway, but I usually do two stores that are really close to each other so I would have to get two slices. I can at least give the pizza to my kids, what kid doesn't love pizza?

I signed up for one with a $7 reimbursement.

We'll see how it goes.

This change probably means fewer Airplane/Operator truck stop visits for me.

A slice of pizza here and there might work depending on the time of day, but I'm more about snagging salami-wrapped cheese sticks and packaged PB&J sandwiches and tossing them in my cooler.

Picked up a competitor location for two stops (weekday/weekend) on the same route, and I will continue to look for as many as those as possible.

The reimbursement is only $5 (or $2 if no pizza available and you buy something else). The $7 was an error that they're going to fix.

I didn't see any that had pizza in my area, maybe someone already got all of them.

Almost all the stores in my area are still showing up. I suspect the other "regular" shoppers at these stores don't really want to buy that much pizza.
I have always wondered why buying the pizza wan't already a required part of the observation. It seemed so obvious, as that was a major element of the brand.

I actually like their pizza, although I am picky and only eat the kind with vegetables added. They have a braided crust that is actually quite good.

I never really noticed pizza being a huge part of the brand near me. I felt like their coffee was more of a push than anything (and I think they have pretty good coffee).

CoolMusic, please edit your post, as you named a client. I named the MSC in the thread title.

(The reason I named the MSC instead of the client is because the client has at least 3 different brand names of truck stop that I know of, one of which you named. Alta360, as you noted, also does "competitor" truck stop shops in this format.)

I agree about the coffee. Nobody beats their coffee. But on the ones near me, they have a giant advertisment for the pizza as a permanent part of the store face, and the big glass display is a prominent part of the counter area, .
Tried the pizza last night. It was...not good. Rated it a 5.

Lots of the shops in my area are normally snatched up quickly and they are all still sitting open. I'm guessing a lot of people who may have done these in the morning might skip it now unless they want the breakfast pizza.
I liked my pizza yesterday. It was hot and fresh, and that braided crust is a nice touch.
