A Question About E/M Shops

Since their MSC changed the method of performing their shops for E/M gas stations, I've noticed a curious change.
Many of the shops that were formerly monthly shops have become quarterlies. That is not so odd as that there is no longer a rotation disqualification. Meaning, of course, if you performed the shop the previous month (for monthlies) or the previous quarter (for quarterlies) the shopper was banned from doing the shop until a round had passed or rotation rules were lifted. Now, the shopper can perform the shops without those rules applied.
However, I have been seeing something even more different.
I have been seeing shops suddenly appear with a bonus masquerading as a fee increase. Meanwhile the other E/M shops have the initial fee.
As far as I can tell, these shops were never presented when the shops were all loaded for the month or quarter. It's almost as if the MSC's computer forgot to load them.
I'm certain that these shops were not immediately snapped up by another shopper and either were not done or not done correctly. There is just no rhyme or reason for this.
Believe me, I'm not complaining - it's just a mystery in mystery shopping.

I noticed that, too. I had specifically looked for some sites for my first route but they were not offered. Now they are, with an increase. There's really no way to figure this MSC's reasoning and no one on the inside is going to fill us in.

Where are these magical quarterly E/M shops, every one we do has been only monthly for over a year now. The only thing that has been quarterly or less often than that is the lighting audits.

I've only seen that once. I grabbed it. It turned out to be a newly branded station.

One of their other brands is also not minding the rotation and there was also a slew of them that just appeared after the first chunk came. I did not mind taking them. Maybe for the non-rotation regulation, they figure they will get them done without having to do a proper bonus.

My experience is the opposite. At first, rotations were not enforced. Now they are.. Perhaps you are looking at the locations that went from monthly to quarterly. In those cases, the roration would be reset..

In my area, the conversion from monthly to quarterly hit hard about two or three years ago. It used to be 80 percent were monthlies, now it is 20 percent. So for every five stations, there were 52 shops in a year (4x12 + 1x4). Now there are only 28 shops in a year (1x12 + 4x4). EM went from bread and butter to just one egg in a basket.

really? that's interesting. around here, 99% of E/M are quarterlies. plus, most of the monthlies i've done have been debranded. there's like maybe 3 or 4 left.
