A coincidence?

Last week, I received three shop notices from MSCs with whom I am not contracted; one had fired me and the other two I terminated. Today I received a fourth. While I have, in the past, received such E-letters, never that number in such a short period of time. Either this is a fluke or some companies have decided to alter their attitudes toward we, without whom there could not be secret shopping.

Opinions please.

Maybe they were fired by so many other shoppers they’re trying to recruit from the same gene pool?

Curious if it’s one I terminated…first and last letters or a hint?

My guess is shops aren't being completed because of low pay. So now the MSCs are doing everything they can to get shops completed.

I got reinstated by RBG, without asking. I had been Nikkied about 3 years ago.
I was also reinstated when they started having problems filling jobs that previously were easily filled.
My suspicion was that they had fired too many shoppers and suddenly found themselves in a pinch.
Terminator Bob has fired more companies than anyone on this forum. That is why he gets more requests to come back than the rest of us :-P
Let me get this straight...

You want our opinion of our attitude towards you? ROFL

I suspect this has some validity to it. It's also why I keep seeing gig posts for mystery shopping assignments (mostly from Jancyn) on Craigslist

I don't think there are any Russians / And there ain't no Yanks
Just corporate criminals\ / Playin' with tanks
It always makes me laugh when I read someone who references "The Nikster" or "Nikkied." LOL

Yea I think some of the MSCs are running out of shoppers. I deactivated my account with one and they're still able to email me. I know the account is deactivated cause I can no longer login so idk how they're still able to reach out to me.
SBP inquires--Curious if it’s one I terminated…first and last letters or a hint?

Bob replies--Rather than to dance around in my reply, the three MSCs I terminated but whom have sent me offers in the past 10 days are: Jancyn, Ipsos and Intelli-shop. When I terminate a company, but continue to receive notices, I send ONE letter explaining I am no longer contracted. Only if I continue to receive mail, do I route to my SPAM folder. As it applies to Intelli-shop, an MSC I terminated at least six mos. ago, this was the first notice I had received. The scheduler replied explaining she was not aware I had departed.

Intelli-shop was a company for whom terminating was the most regretful, as our relationship spanned almost two decades.
@shopperbob

I have a pretty good memory and have enjoyed your terminator stories. I think you have more stories than the Terminator franchise (I believe 6 movies). I do not remember the details on the Intelli-shop one.

Care to refresh my memory or point me to the right forum link to re-read your story on this one?
Daddy, below is a copy and paste of my reply to the scheduler.

Stacy.

I could have easily completed both jobs, BUT, six mos. ago, Intelli-shop refused to pay me for a visit in Middletown, Oh. This due to the store neither having business cards nor any literature. What surprised me was that our relationship began in 2005 and covered 265 acceptable shops. I posted my position and when payment was still refused, I requested, and was given, a termination of our agreement.

That's terrible! We all know there are sometimes extenuating circumstances. I had a redo that was excused for extenuating circumstances because I explained exactly what happened and why I wasn't able to provide the same quality of image I normally would. They have, so far, been one of the easier ones to deal with.

Did you mean to put your full name on this?

Thank you luv; occasionally my mind tilts. Unfortunately, it is pasted on two other replies.
Anyone registered with the MSPA? I noticed earlier this week that they have changed the way they allow MSC's to search for shoppers and give more information. Could be the MSC's are recruiting from shoppers who are signed up there.
Bob, get used to never being completely free of intelli-shop. They deactivated me 8 years ago, but I still get emails from them offering me jobs they can't get anyone else to fill now and then.
Maybe they feel like they can lure you back in

I miss the clown drive thru shops they did during covid

In the greater los angeles area, there are a ton of locations...plus they had promos when the dodgers, rams, lakers would win. So you could basically get a yumbo yuck burger, fries, and drink for $6.

I edited it out of mine.
It's a lazy mass email. It's not a recruitment for your sought-after services. Your "termination" declarations were not followed. Continue to send it to spam.
I was nikkied also without given an explanation. Said I could probably get reinstated after two years, which was not the case.

MSPA hasn't helped me any, when I first started mystery shopping I thought they were a source for jobs, and I filled out a form with my mailing address in CA and my old email address that I used up until about a year or two ago. I found that all they were doing was collecting money, and I didn't have any of that, so I never finished signing up. Fast forward to moving to AL.. shortly after I moved here, after I had changed my address with all of the MSC's that I was signed up with, Intouch Insight sent me a BUNCH of emails offering jobs I never qualified for when I lived in CA. I replied to one asking why they were offering me jobs in CA after my address had been changed in their system, they said they got my name from MSPA as a CA shopper. And again, I recently (ish), changed my email address for mystery shopping. And again, Intouch Insight sends emails to me on my old email address offering me jobs, though at least they are local jobs now.

I am and I did get a text message from one MSC I hadn't worked with about a local job specifically saying that they had gotten my information through that site. The assignment was acceptable to me and the MSC passed my vetting so I did work with them. But, this was several weeks ago so whatever search method they used within the site is not brand new.
I only did the free registration with MSPA.
