Longhorn Steakhouse

Does anyone know the rotation on these shops? I know the MSC but have not seen any listed in the last 4 months.

They have basically closed for the year, and will return (hopefully) next year. There was a four month rotation, but no shops availabe this year.

The steakhouse has closed for the year? I knew they weren't being shopped, but didn't realize they had closed.
I don't think the MSC lost them Longhorn just stopped shopping in the middle of the years. The MSC says that they should start shopping some where around the first of the year. The rotation is every 6 months.
The email I received from the MSC said they will not be shopping both restaurants the remaining year...in L.A. we have another one I did for years, not Longhorn. I was told they'll resume the first of the year. The rotation here was four months, I know as I did them twice a year, I don't know if the one here "Friday's" is owned by Longhorns, I think not.

I believe the website specifies that the second chain is NJ only or some such. Definitely not in my area.
Today I read in the newspaper that LongHorn Steakhouse is the 3rd largest behind Outback and Texas Roadhouse and they expect to do a billion dollars this year. The company that owns them also owns Red Lobster, Olive Garden and DC Grill. Makes you wonder why they stopped the shopping doesn't it.
Sometimes they might be looking around to change MSC's, take a break and return.
Doesn't mean something bad happened, but Outback (that I know about) isn't shopped, I haven't seen it. Longhorns isn't in L.A.

I did an Outback early in the year and a friend of mine did the same location. Haven't seen it in Louisville or anywhere else since. It was great. Wish I could land some other steak house type places. Lonestar in Bowling Green closed up so it's off my radar now to watch for it anywhere else.

Id love to know too!

I thought that Longhorn did them through some sort of a quasi in-house type of thing. I did one three or four years ago, got lousy service, lousy food, and at a higher price than I would normally pay. I remember getting a call about my report (which is rare, but I didn't realize it at the time).

I can't remember who shopped them, but I've never seen one since. I'm convinced I'm blacklisted because of my report.
My understanding is that these are not being shopped at least through the end of 2011. And yes, it seems to be a quasi in-house type company.
Unless you are in SC Arch, I don't think they are being shopped. And even then it seems to be just one location in SC.
