tru fru recall--how is it going for you?

Although I received a badge and became a shopper for them ages ago, today was the first time I got the nerve to try an assignment .It was local so I figured let's see what everyone is talking about.

I can't say I'm a fan of their whole process with 2 different log ins and 2 different payment choices and a lot of rigamaroll to complete the shop. But I did it. I guess when you're used to their system it's easier. The shop itself was easy, but I just felt unsure about much of it..like what if manager isn't present? What if they say they've never carried the product and had none in stock? I winged it and entered clerk's name and manager's name. I took a photo of an aisle where maybe the product should have been.

Also what do you look for in the back room..random product? Boxes? Cartons? Seems like a pita...walk around to be sure they aren't lying? Oh, well, we'll see what happens. I'd love to add a new company to my list of favorites.

I found it worthwhile, especially when there is no product and the store is smaller with less customer traffic.

At one location, a manager wasn't present, but I had the cashier sign off on it. I have them enter their first name and last name into my phone. I find it takes more time to ask them to spell it. The only drawback is the auto-correct feature, which may require users to re-enter their input.

As long as the product is not placed in the candy aisle with existing product labels and is not stored in the backroom, it should be fine. Many of these stores are small enough that you can also explore additional aisles. In the backroom, as long as the manager or employee shows you where similar products are stored. On other projects, you may need to take a picture of the backroom, but this project didn't require it, which was nice.

I had to print my LOA at a nearby office store because I forgot that you needed to take a picture of it at the location. I entered the cost in my expense report, and I was glad it got approved.

How were you able to get a few more locations without first submitting expenses? That is actually one of the tricky things I tend to forget after long periods of no assignments. I kept getting emails that new locations were availiable but they were not showing up. Duh, had forgotten to enter my mileage (no product purchases) and close out the route.
Soon as I did a big list showed up.

I assigned more than five locations near me and did them all on the same day. I didn't submit the expense report because I hadn't planned to visit locations far away. After I submitted my expense report, though, two more nearby locations were added. I assigned those, too.

Once you login on the app on your phone, you rarely have to login again, but I completely agree that part is a little weird.
This particular item was supposed to be in the candy aisle, and the back room check is kind of weird. I know at some stores, like Walgreens, if they get a recall notice, they have a special area/quarantine bin they put things in. But it does seem awkward and I sometimes just say "I have to take a picture to prove its not there."
Passwords...
I've been reaching out to them since August to complete the onboarding for the exact reason stated in the first posting and finally got a reply monday.
The app and desktop apparently do not communicate. It was confirmed that we have to use the (impossible to remember) username and password they assigned.for the app.

Submitting expenses and mileage:
Do they have protocols or forms required for that? How do we prove it? Example: the mileage noted in the postings is short by a few miles...which they only reimburse 30 cents for rather than the going rate of 70 cents, so not even half. Is that legal? If so, can we claim the extra 40 cents/mile difference from the government stated 70 cents/mile rate towards business expenses on our taxes?

Payment:
Do they pay on time with direct deposit or do we have to wait a week to access funds like some other companies? Is the entire visit paid or do they separate out the expenses from the actual visit fees that we have to wait longer for?

I asked but did not get a straight answer, so I'm a bit concerned about going out-of-pocket on any first assignment with a company new to me until I've done and been paid for at least one assignment.

Thank you.

I haven't had any issues with RQA. You might just want to try a project the next it becomes available. If you don't like it, it might not be a good fit for you.
