wordsmilth not pros

Just a Sunday afternoon rant. Completed a shop and submitted it. Got an email from editor KZ who "needed clarification." I cut and pasted the info she requested directly from the original report. The report was then approved with a score of 8 "because we had to contact you." Another glass of wine and I'll be fine...

I had one recently asking for minutes of elapsed time between two events where only one had occurred. I had answered N/A for that question and explained in the narrative what had happened. The editor obviously didn't read the narrative for that section before asking about the non-numerical answer. So, I repeated what was in the narrative and they thanked me and approved it. It's not one where you see a rating so I have no idea if they marked me down for that "clarification".
"wordsmilth." I see what you did there! LMAO
I've had the exact same thing happen!

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
Pretty sure they're trying to justify their existence.
Just had a very similar experience with ACL editor (not typical of them)
They said two receipts were not attached (they were) and asked to clarify a 'no' response that I wrote a few sentences describing.
Question: Were business cards available? (Usually available at the host stand)
Me: The manager personally handed me a business card when he visited the table during my visit. The cards were not available at the host stand or anywhere else in the restaurant. At the host stand there was a holder, but it contained a flyer for an upcoming wine event.

Yeah, gee I guess you need to contact me and then in the approval email scold me on how having to contact me could make the report late and the client might not accept it.
I stopped working with ACL when they told me they wanted more details about my breakfast visit. So I literally started the report out as It was a bright sunny day when I walked into the restaurant. During my walk across the parking lot I found it to be free of trash and debris however I have the adventure over a sleeping homeless person but once inside my path was clear. I went into so much detail like it was a freaking romance novel from 1985 that I saved it to share with friends and family. They LOVED the report. I just don't have enough creative for them anymore.
