Question-Unrevealed take pic of CC machine at counter in front if clerk job

I don't like doing stuff like this. Tons out there, how do you guys do it. The people at the stores I am seeing ain't going to like me taking pics of the CC stuff.

I thought about just getting a few drinks in me and hoping I don't get shot (kind of kidding).

Any tips, just ask Can I take a pic?

Keep your phone in your hand the entire time you are in the store and seem somewhat distracted by it. When you get to the counter to pay, have your camera open and snap the picture casually (sound off). I usually have my phone, keys and credit card all in my hand and make myself appear to be a tad disorganized when I take the picture. I don't think a clerk has ever noticed. These types of photos are required for the Visa compliance shops.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
I pay 99% of the time with my Google wallet. So I have my phone out, camera app open and wallet app open. Tap phone, then switch to camera app for photo as I 'wait' the second it takes to process....
Anyone know ArkLaMissshopping's thoughts on this topic?
Thanks, gives me some ideas. This is why I moved away from mystery shopping. It is funny, when I am on a merch job I walk in and start working before checking in, sometimes taking multiple pictures.
Never cared what anyone might think, when I need to do something like that covert, I just suck at it.

I know what you mean. When it is a merch job, I normally am wearing a lanyard so I don't feel like I have to be covert, but if I have to take covert pics of something at the register, I always feel awkward.
The guidelines say to have a "story" such as that you are looking to get a terminal for a small business/ farmer's market / kiosk, etc. A few times I have come right out and said ... "Hey I need a new payment system at my place, this one looks so cool, do you mind if I take a pic so I can remember it?"

I am liking that. I don't know what my mental issue is. I was the guy that bought lawn tickets for the concert, and told all my guests, just follow me and act like you are supposed to be here when entering the pavilion.

These are easy money. I need to get off my ass and give a few a shot.

Thanks all, have a good Xmas, Holiday or whatever. All I know is on the 25th I turn 62, and will be even to be more picky about the stuff I do.

I just feel the need for easy money since TY is gone and these are easy paying 17.00 with reimbursement.

Thanks all, I have to find some place I want something from and suck it up.
