CV help

So, I remember a while back, one of the members on here mentioned about listing the job title as "consultant" on a resume. I have been sprucing up my CV, and have decided to use that title along with listing cities instead of employers.
I thought that would work until yesterday when I had to use one of those auto-fill resumes on a corporate website and was required to name the employer. I know it's probably a dumb question, but what should I do ? Just list the one I use most frequently or my favorite?

If you are Mystery Shopping you are self employed. An Independent Contractor does not have an employer. YOU are the employer. I believe I am correct to write that you are running your own small business.
I agree with Rho.

The companies you do jobs for are NOT your employers. You are employed by YOU. And during the Covid shutdown that's exactly what I put on my application for food stamps.
For me it depends on the project would I talk about "mystery shopping" in reality the work I do is more auditing and I do have a public merchandiser job as well.

The only "mystery shop" job I currently have on my resume, again the merchandiser job is listed as its public, was a project where I did pricing for an airport years ago, I have it listed with the scheduling company and the title that was on my airport badge as an "auditor". Again I had TSA security clearances and had been fingerprinted for that airport. Not your run of the mill mystery shop.

my 2 cents thats all.
