Planet fitness shop

I've never done one. They just don't interest me....

A friend (who is VERY NEW aka like 2 Market Force shops completed) is looking at one. $30 pay, is the report extensive? I know the company takes forever to pay, that's not an issue. But long narrative? Picky editors?

Not extensive at all but 30 is kind of low, usually they start at 40 and keep going up.

Short narratives but pay attention to who you talk to at front desk. I usually walk the entire gym if they dont give a tour to look for broken machines and how clean everything is. Look at the carpet where the machines are, look for dirt accumulation. Some are nasty.

Each section has a short narrative. Never had an issue with the editors, they work with you.
I haven't done this one but I have had recent experience with the msc and I don't understand the "forever to pay" remark. I was paid 3 weeks after the job was completed. No issues, I would do that one again.

My 2 cents... If it's interesting to you, do it. If the job takes too long or seems difficult for the pay, then don't do that one again. Simple. This is how we all learned and you will do them more favors by encouraging independence than holding their hand.
It's a friend's daughter who just turned 18 & due to sports schedule can't work a 'regular' part time job but wants spending $$$.
I think hand holding is quite OK. And since it's MY time I think I can decide for myself how much help to give, thanks!

The comment about payment was due to the fact the last time I shopped for this company their payment terms were 90 days.. maybe that's changed???

The PF shops in my area are with a company that pays on the 20th the month after the shop is completed.
I did one last October. I thought it was easy. It was heavily bonused and close to where I live. You do have to remember things (like all MS), and get something from the front desk (I think a schedule of some sort), but it was all easy. There was almost no pressure at all to join, it wasn't like the old days that I recall when you got a free workout/day. I enjoyed working out in a new place and getting paid to do so. If the gym were on my way home from work, I would have given joining serious thought.
well, as far as the gym shop is concerned, I did them many years ago for $20 each, they didn't ever get bonused, I only did a few. I recorded the shop because the MSC (not the current MSC) always wanted exact quotes. Knowing the current MSC, they are probably a lot easier and have a lot less narrative.

As far as the current MSC's pay schedule, they pay for the previous months shops on the 20th of each month, no fuss, no muss, no waiting, no games. They tried, for a while to limit how many folks they had to pay each month, but that went over like a lead balloon, and they fixed it.
I did the ones around me for the "forever to pay" company. The ones I did, did not involve a work out, just a tour and phone call. The pay was pretty good for the work and I loved using the massage chair for 10 minutes...bahaaa.

With that being said, I did some Retro Fitness shops for the company that usually pays on the 20th. It was quite similar and the report wasn't bad at all. Bonuses can be good on these types of shops.

hello everyone. I was doing many Planet Fitness jobs back in 2023 and 2024. However, sometime in 2024 they disappeared off of app. I really enjoyed doing them and probably completed 45 of them for $30 each. Easy to do and I thought the pay was good. Can someone tell me where those jobs are posted at now? I would appreciate any info so I can start doing them again. thanks!
We don't need your qualifications, and we can't tell you because we are talking about and have already named the client.
Sorry I must not know the rules on etiquette out here. My thinking is this is an open internet forum. Are we not supposed to list out the platform by name?
You are asking where the Planet Fitness are listed. We are unable to tell you that since you have listed the client. Forum rules prohibit naming the client and the company in the same post. iSecretShop is a platform that hosts many companies. I will tell you that the PF shops are not hard to find if you are signed up with several companies. They are with a rather large and popular company.

iSecretShop is best described as neither a client nor a mystery shopping company, but they are a facilitator that list client jobs that mystery shopping companies offer. Mystery shopping companies list their clients' jobs on iSS.
Planet Fitness shops are not difficult, but I think there is too much narrative for the pay. I will do them if there are no other shops available that are easier and pay the same amount.
Regarding ettiquette, someone me tioned that I referenced the client name...which is MSC. I dont believe I did that...only me tiined the app company iSS. Just curious if someone can let me know what, if anything, I referenced in my original post that I should have revealed? I understand there is a learning curve in these forums. Thanks.
Planet Fitness is the client. They contracted an MSC to do the shops, we are the independent contractors, that the MSC contracted to do the shops. You cannot mention both the client and the MSC in any thread on this forum. And you signed an ICA with the MSC that says you cannot share any information about your shops with anyone, not even the people working at the locations that you are shopping.

Playing dumb won't get you anything except deactivated by the MSCs. There is no legal recourse for not knowing this just because you didn't read the document that you signed with the MSCs.

Deactivated... or hired as an editor.

Just kidding if any editors are reading this.
Well, ok I understand. So point is don't link MSC and client together. I understand. I do believe though that a certain MSC did promote they had a certain client on their website including their logo. So, it would seem the proprietary aspect is also something they were willing to promote as well. My original post I was asking if said client has moved to another aggregate site or MSC? Not sure if that is a better way to ask or not.
To clarify, Planet Fitness is the client. MSC is the company that is contracted with the client, and we cannot name it here since the client has already been mentioned by name. ISS is a platform that an MSC uses to post job offers for their clients.
