Little FG Mystery (to me)

We stopped at FG today for an MS lunch.
It has never mattered whether I order the burger with a bun or wrapped in lettuce - that's my only
experience - but they come wrapped in foil.
I noticed a guy a couple tables over was eating his meal from a foil pan.
What do they serve that comes in a foil pan?

Strictly curious

I've completed a lot of 5 guys' jobs, but I've never seen anyone eating out of a foil pan.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
It's a bunless burger in a bowl, as opposed to a lettuce wrap. I get mine that way frequently. Cold veggies on one side is my salad and burger patty and grilled veggies on the other side is my entree.
I get several hamburger toppings on the side, and they are served in the foil pan.
It's a burger salad. I do it all the time. Easier than trying to eat a lettuce wrap. You can use fork/knife. I like to ask for a side of the cajun seasoning and throw some of it in there as well.
Interesting. So apparently you have to ask for that specifically? bunless burger served as a salad?

yes but mine have come wrapped - not in a foil pan.

Just ask for the "burger in a bowl." Easier than "bunless burger." 5g considers the "bowl" to be the rectangular tin foil. They have it as option online as well. Both lettuce wrap and bowl are options. Plus they give you the condiments in small containers so you can control the portion of mayo/ketchup/mustard.
I've gotten that several times. I ask for ketchup, mustard and mayo and they put it in the little containers. I mix them to make a salad dressing along with my burger, tomatoes, lettuce pickles peppers and mushrooms.

I request it in the bowl.
thanks to those who answered my question. Just seems as if the foil pan would be a lot less messy than the way they have been giving them to me in the wrapper...and I eat those with utensils, so it makes sense.

is that acceptable by MSC?

Shopping Eastern Pennsylvania since 2009
Where in the instrx does it say you have to get a burger with bread?

100%. Basically anything on their menu is fair game.
