Bad Reputation (restoring a good reputation)

With some companies, I would say about 3 I have a bad reputation. These were good paying shops. I passed out a few times, had an accident on the bus. The doctors told me it was just dehydration from the Florida heat. As it was, I ended up in the hospital telling me if I didn't have the Bentall procedure in the next 3 days I would surely die. How should I go about restoring my reputation? Tell them what happened. (I am afraid they still won;t assign me new work because of the heart problem). Maybe ask the other schedulers that I am on good terms with to restore me, give me one last chance. What are your suggestions?

1. Take care of your health. 2. Thank the three companies for their patience and understanding; it has meant so much to you as you are bringing health into alignment with goals. Perhaps you can have another chance because your health is better and you expect no further incidents. Yeah, you might need to lie. But this is what you often do as a shopper. 3. Use the information in the forum. What other gigs and companies are possible? Would some gigs be better for you now than teey would have in the past?

I just need some alternative facts. (Harley Carter)

Well, regardless of the MSCs, they don't need your personal info, you tell them you had a medical emergency, and a procedure that kept you from fulfilling your obligations. Tell them you're recovering, and have your medical problems under control.

Before Covid this arguement would have gone almost nowhere. But since then the MSCs are more likely to help and work with you if you have a medical problem.
I wouldn't explain anything. I would just apologize for failing them, and you would like another chance.

Shopping Arkansas, Louisiana, & Mississippi.
It depends on if this is somewhere that actually talks to you. Some places I am with have nobody to talk to and no way to say anything. With some places I am with they'd be okay and understanding, but others wouldn't. It really depends.
Honestly, you just told all on this forum what happened. So, it could not hurt to tell them what had happened. Had you not divulged what happened here, I would have said to keep it private.
If I have to explain why I missed something without prior notice, I tend to give as much evidence as possible to document my reasoning. IF, I wanted to keep working for them.

We all know stuff happens and so do they. I am sure they have heard every possible reason in the book and then some.

Share whatever you are comfortable with sharing, as with shopping, pictures can help.

I had to cancel 2 assignments last minute due to an ER visit with a child. I redacted sensitive info and provided a copy of the discharge papers as proof, and everything was fine.

Your health is the most important thing here, and it sounds like you’re stressing a lot over this. Are there less stressful options you can nurture?

Do you love pets? People are always looking for kind hearted people to help out, no dressing the part or out of pocket. You can meet them first, choose your rate and your jobs, and have some quality time with sweet 4-leggeds.

Cat purrs are also healing.

Wishing you a speedy recovery.
An' I don't give a damn 'bout my bad reputation
Oh no, no, no, no not me, oh no, no, no, no not me
