I accidentally signed up for a job way too far away oops

There are two suburbs with pretty similar names. One is about 10 km from me, in the inner-city, and the other is right on the other end of the city, about 38 km away. LOL. It goes from an easy thing to get to to something difficult. But it still pays $60 for a simple walk-in, and it's a new type of job for me, so it's okay. I mean, $60 still feels like a lot to me, given that some places were paying me as little as $8 + compensation and then not compensating the minimum purchase price, so they were effectively $3, and paying $12 for basic jobs. $60 for a basic job feels like I'm rich. I know, it's still way lower than a normal job but this is huge. So I will travel 38 km for it, even if I thought it was going to be 10 km away. Damn them for having two suburbs with near-identical names 28 km apart.

There is a grocery chain with two locations on the same highway in the same city but one is close and the other is most definitely not. The distance arrangement so helpfully provided by the msc shows opposite of the reality because measurements are made by bird flight distance rather than vehicle driving distance and I don't have the ability to drive over the large body of water in between. I now know those street numbers VERY well.
Well, your post brought back memories of when I first started mystery shopping in 2005. Back in 2005-2006, I picked up a shop THAT I THOUGHT was in a nearby state from me, some 30 miles (48 km) away, as it was highly bonused to like, $60.00 (one of the golden arches great bonuses back in the day). HOWEVER, when I read the instructions more closely, it was in a city of the same name in MY state, not the nearby bordering state. And THAT city was 90 miles away (144 km)!! Since I was new in this business, and didn't want to be blocked from this MSC (who remembers Shop-n-Chek??), I sucked it up and drove the 180 mile round-trip job. At least it paid enough for my troubles, I got a lunch out of it, but since then, I am VERY careful about making sure I have read the correct address!!
I had one Verizon store, right next to an ATT store. Twice I went into the wrong store.
