If this is the too-many-men's company, I've found out that if the date is available to schedule, it's allowed. Normally, if there are blackout dates, they don't allow you to schedule it. But you can also send the help desk a question. They have been replying really quickly.
If it's with the gas company and I had a question about anything, I wouldn't perform the job until you contact them and get a reply. If it's not in their instructions and you don't know, email them.
