Bubba's 33

So I have done these shops a few times, and I did the dining room shop a few months back where I did not order a salad and the shop was accepted with a 10 score. I have a DR visit scheduled for next week.

The guidelines state:
"Minimum order requirements are:
• Order one appetizer and a steak, entrée, pizza, or burger."

But the notes at the top of the report form and in the acceptance email both state that a salad must be ordered with the entree. I have emailed 2x over the past week and sent a message through the shopper contact asking if I have to order a salad, and can't seem to get a response. I generally get a burger and I really would rather just have fries and not a salad.
Anyone know if the salad is a requirement or not? I know it is required for Texas Roadhouse DR visits, which is the same parent company, but a burger and salad just doesn't appeal to me.

I agree with you an burger and salad does not appeal to me either..

Every time I go to Bubba's on an MS, I always get something that will go with a salad (Like the chicken fried chicken. or the fish)

I always get a salad when I do the MS.. Now if I go with my parents (On a non shop) I don't get a salad.

If I had any questions the scheduler would always reply within a few hours...

This is just a suggestion Can you order a burger and fries and order a small side salad?

I know at Bubba's (Not sure about the RH) it is a 99 cent up charge to order a salad as one of your sizes with your meal.

ETA: I thought a salad was required as one of your sizes at Bubba's (as well as TRH)
We just did one. We did not have a salad even when ordering the steak. 10/10 on report.
Yeah, so it took a few weeks and 3 emails for the scheduler to respond to my question (she had been on vacation) but she said no salad required. My shop isn't until next week so no big deal on the delay I guess. I don't know why they don't change the shop notes that say a salad should be ordered. Apparently that's for Texas Roadhouse only.

The last shop I did for Bubba's, which was a couple of months ago, said that one of my items has to be salad.

I guess they changed the requirements

I received the mass email a few days ago (From a different scheduler) and it said that

Food order requirement - The minimum requirement is one appetizer and one entre plus one drink other than water! If you bring a guest(s) they can order anything they want (They do not need to order anything specific and they do not need to order a drink.)

So not sure if the old scheduler is still with the company or not.

I love their salads but I also like some of their other sizes smiling smiley
they are good at spotting shoppers if you order somthing a little off the beaten path and you repeat something out of or slighly non standard: ie extra grren onions, raw onions on the salad, complained about the steak, two expresso au jus, used a gift card etc.
I thought when you are on any shop you are not to complain about the food.. Just mention it in the report.. Like I order my steak well done and it was brought out med rare
To the contrary, quite often the client would very much like to know how the server and manager respond to a complaint, and there's frequently a question on the survey that asks how a complaint was responded to.

Once in a blue moon the guidelines might actually say that you can't complain, but ordinarily I just go by what I would do if I were a regular customer. A tiny watermark on the knife is not going to yield a major motion picture, but a steak coming out wrong would certainly warrant a polite mention to the server.

With my luck if I order a steak well done and it came out med rare and I mention it to the server/manager, they will prob comp the meal or give an discount..

Than that means I will not get paid,, Then chances are I may get banned from that project/ or location for not following directions..

I have seen that question on the report..
Do they have a question about the salad coming out in a chilled bowl like with the Texas Roadhouse shops? If not, then it sounds like older instructions. The side salad is still a requirement for Texas Roadhouse, but not if eating at the bar. I have yet to try Bubba's 33, but I may check out one when visiting family in Toledo (perhaps as a shop too if I play my cards right).
I do not remember a salad question on the bubba's report. It's the same ownership group TXRH/Bubbas, so maybe the project manager just copied many of the same "guidelines" over.

With TXRH, their entrees come with 2 sides. Bubba's 33 I believe only come with 1. I really only go on Monday's as it's the burger special day for $10.99. So you get fries or tots as standard side. You can upgrade for more money to a salad or some other side.

Most of Bubba's 33 dinners has 2 sides.. I know their burgers has one side and it is usally fries /tots... You can update to a salad for 99 cents
Since I only go for the burger deal on monday's, i have not ordered entrees that came with 2 sides.

btw, the AZ locations are $1.99 for side salad upgrade. I still do it. healthier option

it's also a place I will go on my own dime (at least for the burger deal). I won't pay full price for their other food. Not worth it to me.
if it says salad is required anywhere in the instructions or forms you better believe it is required,
