FOOD NETWORK- RESTAURANT STAKEOUT

Watched "Restaurant Stakeout" on the Food Network last night. It was pretty good. This guy set up cameras all over a restaurant in Vegas and watched the customer service process happen/not happen for a 24 hour period. He sent some of his people in to portray different scenarios ranging from underage trying to by alcohol, someone who can't make up their mind about what to order and someone coming in five minutes before close. He even had someone leave his wallet on the table.

It will be on again on the 17th.

I couldn't sleep a wink and turned on T.V.at 1:00 am to find this program on Foodnetwork, very entertaining....

Live consciously....
I watched it for the first time the other day. I think I am hooked, added it to my dvr must records. I also like Restaurant Impossible.
Oh I LOVE those two shows!

My husband and I just happened to be watching Restaurant Impossible and the Stakeout came on after.

Can you believe some of the things employees are doing? (not really, was a server for many, many years) But, the "not firing" mentality of the owners really riles me! How could any sensible manager/owner NOT fire staff after watching these tapes?

Proud To Be A Soldier's Mom
I have watched it a few times and felt it too outragious to be true. Remember this is Reality T.V., anything goes, but it is interesting and
makes for good t.V. I was interviewed and shot for another Mystery shopping
program they were shooting, and didn't get it (thank g__). The program they had on, didn't get picked up, and nothing like the real experience, total BS.....I'd guess .1% has that going on, and 99.9% has writers with great
imaginations and no ms experience.

Live consciously....
It is already cancelled after 4 episodes.

I have a friend who is a programmer for a few stations all owned by the same conglomerate. Just so you know, as with most "reality" shows, most of that is staged and a lot of employees are goaded into doing things. The producers rig all kinds of drama so the show is interesting. Sorry to pop any bubbles! Also, when they say they are there for 24 hours, it's actually a couple weeks!
