Something Nice Happened Today

Today I did 4 shops and I've been having a bout with anemia so was feeling really, really pooped and stopped at my local Applebee's for dinner and a marguerita. I sat there with my glasses off and my eyes closed for a while till my dinner came.
As I was finishing my dinner, my waitress came to me and said the lady in the next booth had paid for my dinner but she didn't want me to know till after they left.
What a nice random act of kindness! Will pay it forward tomorrow somehow.

WOW, you must have really looked down, I after 74 years of living have never heard of that (very nice), although I have had a drink sent over (not msing), I'm sure there was a motive.

Live consciously....
My dad is the kind of person that does that. He likes to go places and if a family looks like they have their hands full he will pick up their tab, or he goes through the drive thru and pays for the car behind him. He is really impressed with families that pray out loud in restaurants...so usually he always picks up their meal tickets.

My dad is also the guy at the drive thru that picks up the money on the ground that the cashier dropped. LOL. I love him, he is a nut.
I am 73 and started having problems with anemia a couple years ago. Had to have a couple units of blood and went on iron for a while. While they were testing for the cause they discovered I had a small (1A size) tumor on my lung. So looking for the anemia cause got waylaid in favor of looking for cancer treatment. I thank God they found the tumor because it was just beginning. I went into a cancer radiation study last June of 5 days high dose radiation instead of 6 weeks of low dose. The 5 days was much easier on my body I think and it apparently worked as Dr. did a PET Scan in January and no hot spots showed up. But my bloodwork in February showed my count down a bit and then within a month it really went down. So two weeks ago I went for another couple units of blood. Dr. says I have no iron so am back taking iron tabs. See a hematologist in a couple weeks to try to figure out what is going on.
Sorry for that long story - but when I went to Applebee's yesterday I had just done 4 shops (3 of them apartment shops) and was sooo tired. I sat there with my glasses off and my eyes shut while I was waiting for my dinner.
So I guess I either looked like I was praying or looked as exhausted as I felt.
At any rate, I will pay the favor forward at some point in the next few days.
BTW, the 3 apt. shops were for EPMS. No one told me I needed to get the leasing agent's eye color!!! Can't believe they asked that.
What a nice surprise! There are some kind people left in the world.

Once, when my husband was out of work, I was at the grocery store and I didn't have enough money. I was going thru the bags, making a pile of the things I could put back. It was right at the height of the economy crash. Anyway, the couple behind me told the cashier to bag everything up for me-they paid for the items! I was shocked! It was about 20.00 worth. They told me 'Don't worry. Things will get better' and that it was their pleasure to help.

Amazing....
The christian radio station I listen to does " drive thru difference" 1 friday per month. They actually encourage listeners to go through a drive thru and pay for the car behind them. A letter gets given to the customer and some of the beneficiaries call into the radio station. It's pretty cool to listen to some of the stories.

Today I Will Choose Joy!

"Finally, whatever things are good, true, noble, lovely, of good report...if there be any virtue, if there be any praise...think on these things." ....It's a command, not a suggestion!
