It caused an overpayment and they want their money back. ;-o

I got lots of e-mails today. I don't read minds. Which one did you get? Quote it in your post and I'm sure someone else may have gotten it.

This is part of the email that I received. It seems legit and has the companies address included with it. I don't doubt that it is from the company.

Because of a computer glitch, you were over paid by $24 which you should have received in your check today or will receive sometime this week.

We are asking for you to send us a check for $24. Please send it to:

******

However, to be safe I replied with, "Since I haven't cashed the check that was sent, please void it and send me a check with the correct amount. When I receive it, I will destroy the other check".

I guess the question is whether you were overpaid or not. Was the check they sent you that you have not cashed yet for $24 too much?

No, I was overpaid, but did not know about it until they brought it to my attention. I thought it was high, but I usually don't complain unless it is to low or not at all, ;-o

It certainly sounds legit.
