TAX TIME!!!!

Does anyone know about this website? . . . .

www.taxact.com

Apparently, it's free unless you need advise. I think they charge $19.95 for federal and state and of course a filing fee.

Hope someone can use it. Good luck!

IRS.GOV has free efiling if income does not exceed $56,000, I believe.

AARP, across the country, offers free federal and state preparation and efiling. You kinda take your chances and hope for a preparer who knows their stuff.
Buy turbo tax. Skip the advise from a preparer who went though a 3month course 1 night a week.

Agree w/Dee..........Turbo tax is better than a tax person especially since many are clueless about msing. Went to H&R block the first year......they charged me $200 to do my return........I received $190 refund.......yep, do the math...cost me $10 that year.......That was 2004.........I have been doing my own every year since then using Turbo Tax. I also discovered many things H&R block overlooked.
Turbo Tax takes you through the whole process and it is very easy. I always purchase online since you don't pay UNTIL you E-FILE so basically have access to everything at your convenience. I have already began entering some info in since I already have my mileage totals.........and other info.
