Shouldn't this belong in the questions thread? winking smiley

And where might that be located, bg?

PS
And why are YOU reading this, you non-lurker you???

I intend to live forever. So far, so good.
Aha, bg, NOW I see what you're up to...you're trying to drum up business for YOUR thread.

Well, I just added to yours, so now leave mine alone, you interloper.

I think people remain lurkers because they are afraid of making that first post. As I said before, I was. Just interested in what people have to say (and helping them, in a "safe" way, make that first post.)

Well my Maritz thread didn't get any posts so I had to drum up support somewhere!

I am a lurker. If my days are busy, I lurk. When I have time and energy, I lurk then I post or reply.
This thread is perfectly at home in General Chat!

Over the years, I have been both lurker and poster. I lurk a lot, for information. I post to join in the fun of the forum, to ask questions, chime in, and assist when I can. I would encourage everyone, newcomers - semi-pros - and pros, to jump right in, the water is finesmiling smiley
I've never been a lurker, I like to get my feet wet.....always a poster, never a lurker.

Live consciously....
Hmmm....if someone is a lurker, and they post as to why they are a lurker, wouldn't that make them a poster?

Good question for the questions thread.

I'm always lurking in the shadows, eating chocolate and seeking out new recruits for my caprine army. Only those who play the flugelhorn need apply.

I lurked for a few months beofre posting. I wanted to get a feel for the atmosphere of the boards.

Did you?

I'm a poster, but I'm kinda scared to post about certain companies. I want to vent, but it seems this company's representative notices EVERYTHING and I love shopping their locations. It may or may not rhyme with Gentry smiling smiley

Ms Jillmarie, please, oh, please tell us that "Jillmarie" is NOT your real name because, if it is, the owner, whose first name may or may not rhyme with Rave, appears extremely sensitive to any sort of negative comment about his company. (I've heard rumors about him having a penchant for pushing that "deactivate" button.)

LOL! I know EXACTLY what you are talking about. HOW do they know who is who anyway? Maybe they have access to our profiles. Not cool. In this Facebook age, is ANYTHING private anymore?

You're right. As far as I know, your real first name may or may not rhyme with Rave.

Not Rave here, trust me! I should have used a better alias. I posted here about them because that's the only time I lurk- it was hilarious yet a warning to me not to say what frustration I was having with them. Everything is OK now, and I plan on shopping with them so I don't want to jeopardize it.
However, I applaud the gal who wrote back to him, way to stand up for yourself!
I try to remain incognito. I started with a different name, but changed it so people like those whose name rhymes with Rave would have less chance of figuring out who I am. I try not to post any kind of details about my shops that would lead those people to check out who I am. Of course, if they read enough of someone's posts, I think they might be able to tell. Then again, do they really have that much time on their hands?
I lurk when I feel the tone of the thread is southbound and I really don't want to get involved.
Oh but that's the best time to join in!

I'm going to do a music store shop and buy a flugelhorn so I can join your band.
I'll pick up some chocolate, too....

Without my glasses I thought this said Why Are You a Lunker & Not a Poser? Wow. Whole different meaning. Never mind.

Hey Cettie- Why not Pan flute players for your caprine army, seems somehow appropriate.
I was not confident that I could swim. I lurked for about 4 years before I dove.
