People tell me to get lost and I say yaeah!

So, many are wondering how I pick my directions. It is true that I often preplan a route - if by often you mean 5% of the time. To be honest my friends have given up asking me where I am off to next. They understand the futility of it. About 70% of the time I get in the truck and have no blazing idea where to head to. I sit in the front seat look at a bunch of maps and get frustrated. I then pull out of the parking lot and drive. I stop where I see a camp ground, run out of gas, or get tired.
The other 25% of the time, I may have a general idea where I am going however, like today, I get lost. I love to get lost. I have watched eagles learn to soar by getting lost. I have gone truck skying by getting lost (long story). I ended up in Canada by getting lost (fun story to explain to the boarder patrol). I can tell you some fun adventures from my getting lost.
Today I am in Lake City, almost ended up in Jacksonville however I realized I was heading to a city and decided to camp in the woods instead.
I live simply, by the seat of my pants, and figure it out as I go. My stress is of my choosing.

Just lost trying to find a fire pit in a concrete jungle wishing it was a wooded glen...

if it wasn't for bad luck, I would have no luck at all

That reminds me of many summer holidays I took with my son. I'd ask him for a direction and off we'd go. No preplanning involved other than packing clothes, books, etc. Many of those turned out to be the best kind.
