Many loved and hated her. She's been around forever it seems.

I know when Betty White dies, it will bother me. I love that woman. She's a definite inspiration and an animal advocate (like me)
I listened to an interview with someone in the industry who knew her personally. He said that while her act/routine could be biting, caustic, and even mean; she was the exact opposite as a person. He said she was kind, generous, and genuinely interested in other people, and charitable.

In any event, she will be missed by many ~ most importantly, her family.

I agree about Betty White.

Practitioner of the Nerdly Arts.
I saw her at an airport a couple of years ago. Her skin was gorgeous!
She was walking quickly with her assistant, but I said, "Hi, Joan!" and
she said, "Hello" back although she didn't look at me (which was okay
because I was in my travel outfit and that look is a fashioun nightmare!).
My husband saw her when I was not with him. They had a bit more of
a conversation about her show.

I wonder why she chose not to go to the hospital to have this procedure done. She shouldn't have died, but she did go out on top career wise. I also enjoyed her T.V. show "Fashion Police", she was a funny lady and will be missed. Makes one realize how you are not in control of your life.....

Live consciously....
Lately I have been watching her old monologues from the "Tonight Show" on YouTube. She's hysterical! I always loved her humor and am glad we had her around for as long as we did.
If a DVD came out about her, I would purchase it. She was one of my favorite "Queens" of comedy. smiling smiley
Bye Joan - thanks for all the laughs throughout the years. I grew up watching Joan Rivers and was so saddened by her death. She lived large right until the end.
The most recent reports I heard:

The endoscopy is routinely done in a clinic. (But at 80 years old, I would never want general anesthesia anywhere but in a hospital!)

The doctor decided to do the biopsy after he started and she did not authorize that part beforehand. The biopsy caused her vocal chords to swell and cut off her oxygen. I also heard that the doctor stopped to take a selfie while she was under! How horrible!

I see a BIG lawsuit coming!
