The only ones I've taken allow a same-day return and it's really not a big deal. I take a walk or run another errand in the area. You could even find a nearby coffee shop with wifi and start filling in the report. I would do a next-day return if it was withing a few miles of my house or the place I'd be working the next day. The return takes 5 minutes tops.

I had a money wire purchase and return and it was a nightmare. They refused to refund me the money so I did not have the refund slips needed and got docked some points through no error of my own so I will bow out of anything needing to get refunds from now on.

I've heard of lots of people who had problems with the money wiring cancellation/refund shops. I don't think it was just you, @cnortorious. Hope it all worked out and you got paid and reimbursed eventually.

I'm doing a purchase and return at a shoe store tomorrow. I can return after 30 minutes. I managed to get a cell phone job in the same mall, so I can fill the time making a few more dollars.

These don't usually work for me unless (1) I can go right back in with the return, or (2) the fee is decent for two shops, or (3) I want a first time foot in the door with the company. It might also work for me if I had business later or the next day in the same area. Ordinarily they want two shops for the price of one which makes sense from their point of view but not mine.
