Jobs sent through email.

I've been getting invitations for jobs through email. These are from companies that I've signed up with but haven't done anything with. The email says, "Do not reply to this email. It won't be read." They will put their email address on it in order for me to email them back.

I go to their website and I can't find the job anywhere to sign up for it. Then I email the person from the email address they say to write to them on. In the subject I list the job they're offering.

I never get a response. I tell them that I've looked for the job on their website and I can't find it, etc. etc. I tell them in the email that I'm interested in that job. I get no response. I've had like six of them in the past few days from different people.

"Global emails" can be the pits that way. One company emails me about 4AM with their jobs and by the time I am up and around the jobs are long gone. But I have outsmarted the system somewhat. I figured out the schedule of when they email and check the website before I go to bed. Nicely pick up the jobs that are emailed out to me in the 4AM email flush.

I understand the frustration of unanswered emails. I assume you are not just hitting reply as you are specific about mentioning the email address the person indicated you write to. Guess it is just a fact of life--when they need to get the shop assigned out to someone they are responsive. Once it is assigned they 'don't have time' to answer any more. Certainly not a warm and fuzzy situation.

The emails that are broadcast to umpteen thousand are from an address that won't be responded to.

The email went out to the masses. By the time you read it and go the site, the shop has already been assigned to another shopper.

No response because the MSP is good to go on this shop. Someone snatched it up and it was assigned within a short period of time.

In the future, track days and times that shops are emailed, so you can be first in line!!
I also get these...go into your profile, and change the setting to NOT receive emails, it works.

Live consciously....
Irene, if you make the choice NOT to receive emails, then you lose out on any potential jobs. I like the idea of getting more jobs.
LTMS,

Turn off the email notifications for each MSC with a job board. Bookmark all of those job boards. Check the job boards each morning when you get up, and again before you go to bed. You will most likely see the jobs before the emails ever get sent out and have more work that way.

The process goes much faster if you have software enables to auto-fill you ID and password for each site.
