I cannot believe the lunacy of Mel Gibson...it's over for him, and I hope they send hinm to jail!! He is a dangerous bigot, woman hater, and this shows money does NOt make one happy!!

He opened his mouth about something again. I had a bunch of guest come in the breakfast area and I did not get to hear what he said. Not much I know but he still cannot seem keep his big mough shut.

I just looked at the news on My Yahoo. Is is a custody battle with a soon to be Ex wife. She is charging domestic violence and child abuse against him from what I can gather. There is a restraining order against him concerning his wife and a no contact order for the little girl they have.

The T.V. here in L.A. is all over him....and there is an investigation. They say he will go to trial due to the threats he made to his girlfriend, and yes, a custody battle is in the works, however, this woman and he were not married, and his first family is grown. The phone tapes of his threats are released, and he is a madman...very scary!! This will go on and alot will be uncovered. Dee, don't you get the news?

I don't really watch TV news. I leave that for my news junkie husband. I like to relax in front of the TV. :-) I haven't had time yet today to sit down and read the online newspapers, I usually do that at night.

Thanks Irene for the information. He must have really stepped in it this time. I did not know there were special victum units in police departments except on TV. In truth I had never thought about it. If our police departments have them here they are never mentioned Mayabe he figures he has enough money to do whatever he wants.

I live an a mid-range priced high rise in HNL. At dinner time yesterday, when no one was home but me, I heard a man yelling swears at a woman who was screaming in fright. It sounded like it was on my floor; I live on the 16th floor, which is the top floor of the building. I opened the door and yelled that I was calling the cops. A woman I could not see yelled for me to do so. I did so. It turned out to be the family of my son's friend. I have no clue what happened, but the cops were in the lobby for over an hour taking family statements and the father was arrested. I only know the latter as when we went out later last night we saw some of what was happening in the lobby, and last night when my husband left for work at 2 am the older brother of my son's friend was outside waiting to enter the building (there was some 12 hour cooling off period or something) and he told my husband about his father then. The father saw me open the door and yell about me calling the cops. This kind of stuff does not happen in this building nor my neighborhood. I had too much excitement of this type last night to look this up.

Too close for comfort Dee...the T.V. stuff we get is all I can handle and even then.....

Mel Gibson seems to hate everyone, and yes, he thinks he is G__, he owns a church in Malibu, so has many follower's, (false sense of security), but then look at O.J. money does talk, but in L.A. no one is coming forth to his side, but some are calling her a gold digger and saying she tapered with the tapes, still, his rantings are really scary. There might be a televion trial, as he made threats and in CA that is taken seriously.

I haven't followed any of the Mel drama. However, my son's friend and his mother moved the next day. They now live in a different neighborhood with the grandfather. So sad.

His youngest child with ex wife, Terri, is 10. They are not all grown. (Ages 10 thru 29, seven children).

It seems like his now ex-girlfriend, Oxsana, is a gold digger. She would of been better off if she hooked up with Mike Douglas. She would have the Douglas fortune to leave her child. That's what CZJ did.

Oxsana can only get what the family court orders Mel to pay her for child support. She is not Elen Woods. Plus they weren't married either. If Mel never works again, then her 'want to have' fortune goes down in flames. She is probably doing this "taped by omission" b/c her older son, with actor Timothy Dalton, is coming of age. That support will be running out in a year. He is 17.

Did anybody esle notice how calm she was on the fone/tape? One could almost hear her sniggling. "What kinda man is that."

This woman is looking for a big payoff. One that will never happen.

We pay the kind of money we pay for rent to avoid that type of world.

A Mel Gibson story, if anyone really cares. In 1999/2000, The Patriots, starring Gibson, was filmed in SC, not too far from me. Gibson is (was?) a Catholic and regularly attended mass at the local Catholic church. Family friends of mine, who are Catholic, drove every Sunday to the church he attended, 75 miles from their home, hoping for a Mel sighting. Attendance hit record highs, there were three masses each Sunday. Nobody ever knew which he would attend. In 2002, they were able to build a new church from collection proceeds alone.

True, Mert. But it's way better than some of the "real world" neighborhoods here we might live in.
