Mac Mystery Shoppers!

Do you ever have a problem emailing receipts? I've encountered the same problem several times -- while the .jpg itself is completely fine on my end, the attachment does NOT go through okay.

I send it as window-friendly, and click control/c to turn it into an icon. When it's unsuccessful, and I go back in to check by clicking the icon in my sent mail, sure enough, it's not legible there, either.

I'm obviously doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what it is! It might have to do with the way I'm scanning it, but the issue seems to only be with email, not uploads.

What program are you using for mail? What OS are you in? What Mac are you using?

Macbook Pro, Leopard. I'm using Macmail, which I believe is the problem. I've researched this topic before, and others seem to have had success by making sure they don't send in rich text. Unfortunately, success with email attachments has been spotty, and in cases where I'm sending scanned jpgs, it fails most of the time.
I have a MacBook Pro w/ Snow Leopard. I use Mail. I encountered this issue many years ago, but it was using Thunderbird and a 2004 OS. Honestly, I am surprised to hear this. Have you checked preference settings?

Yes, I have. It was after research on Mac forums that I tried solutions via non-rich text and creating an icon. It's a bummer!!! I do have Windows on here, but I prefer to work from this side. :-(
When I first researched this, I found many posts from others experiencing the same problem, and really thought I had fixed it by reverting to plain text and creating the icon. Oh, well. Now on the list to cover on next visit to Apple.
I tried to look this up after I asked you about it, but the posts I found were mostly from 2005-2006. I did find one current one, but no one else seemed to be having the same issue. I still think it is a setting in either your mail prefs, or somewhere else in your other prefs. I might be wrong, but I haven't heard about this in years, and the Mac Mail program has gotten a LOT better in the past few years.

There are plenty of posts from 2008 and 2009 depicting my problem. I have other issues with Mac mail, but that's another story... There are things I LOVE about it, but there are definitely a few kinks!

I'll update this thread after I go into Apple.
